Call me an perma-bull but I have to think YGE is ready for a major pop…high short interest, lotta good news in UK and Japan, China setting ultimatum to consolidate PV industry, being dragged down by market weakness- people hate this stock too, so a contrarian play.
My second largest position is YGE.

PAY looked good this AM location wise so picked up some mar 29 calls at the open for 1.45..feeling lonely though as its earnings. and dang that dang up 18 %

I bought some March YGE, SOHU and SPWR calls this morning. SOHU was timely as the calls are up 72% already! I’ts nice having a solidly green day again.

Honestly, I’m afraid of ER on YGE.
None of the other solars seemed to care too much about the FSLR earnings, i think. I’ve been in RGSE for a week. It looks great technically. I have no problem staying in RGSE until it decides which way. That’s all i got.
It does look good RGSE. The YGE note was a heads up for those who don’t wanna play thru earnings.

I don’t think I’ve heard anyone say one good thing about holding through earnings in the little over a month I’ve been following on here.
I held DANG. It was a great experience.
I held FSLR, didn’t really notice.
Law of averages makes me bullish on earnings 🙂
to be fair, I’d be more comfortable holding an investment in stock through earnings vs. an option trade that has been very profitable. With stock I feel there can be a comeback of sorts if the reaction is negative…with options, you can lose a lot of premium all the way to $0 (granted your loss is capped at premium paid vs. riding stock all the way down)
I held MU and SONS (still holding) through earnings and both treated me very nice

Held my PDCE stock from 49 through earnings to 62 as well as calls through earnings. Sold half of those for 400% and still ridin’ rest on the house. Also did OK holding PRLB stock through earnings, and still holding. Those are the only 2 I even tried to hold.
