I’m Trying Real Hard

This is my first day back in my office, around all of my monitors and trading set up. It has been a grueling week for me where nothing seems to be going right. My timing is off and usually these squalls pass in a day or two — but this has lasted all week. Instead of mindlessly droning into FANG stocks like I should, I kept waiting for the spec stocks to lift again and they have not. In fact, we are very oversold in small caps and the turn seems to not be coming.

Early going I had some sunlight, made a few good trades and was up nearly 100bps. But the volatility was strong and I was vacillating with wild swings just before we finally legged lower and placed me where I am now -50bps. It doesn’t seem like a lot — but following a week of losses this 50bps decline feels like 10%. It was my hope, of course, to snap the losing streak and close out the week, ahead of Juneteenth, with style. Alas, it appears the stock Gods wish instead of harangue me ahead of this all important holiday and now I am betwixt narratives of obstinately holding and waiting for a bounce, or simply getting out of everything and opt for surgical forays into the market.

At the end of the day, it’s about fitness. All things in life are about fitness. Can I handle the tick tock? Should I? People do things and are motivated by this question in almost every single choice. Can you handle the work? Is the risk worth it? Is this marriage worth saving?

In a perfect world things work out exactly as intended; but that is rarely the case. I am of course fit to withstand losses, especially since I am +200% for 2021. But I didn’t get to +200% by being complacent and just drawing down just because I could. I am constantly changing and my plans are never static. A poor day can turn into great with a single trade. Into the next few hours I will have to make a choice — hope for a heroic turn or accept the fact that only NVDA, DOCU and ROKU trade higher now.

My Powers Are For Nothing Here

This is the brand of stock market that is my kryptonite. I work best in a runaway train market, boarding onto stocks up 15% and riding them higher. The whack-a-mole tape of now, were sector pop out of nowhere green and other mired and racked in misery is the exact prescription for my demise.

Over in Stocklabs today we even had to Blood Eagle a good paying member of the service in order to draw me back into the favor of the Gods. During this pandemic, we have lost many good men inside of the Pelican Room. Long termers such as DIDDY, JUNGLE, ARMBUSTER, KENMETAL, CHIVO, ROBIN and new members like YOURBOSS will of course be missed. In their stead, we have new members filling the void, people who deal with meat, surveillance and IRS audits are some of the industries featured inside of the Pelican Room.

I shed another 134bps today and find myself deeply depressed and miserable. I am only buttressed by the fact I am +6.2% this month and of course, like the rest of you, look forward to celebrating our newly minted holiday JUNETEENTH this Saturday, amidst all of the pomp and circumstance one could muster.

The Turn is Coming; Fuck Jeremy Siegal

Two days in a row CNBC brought on that cock sucker Jeremy Siegal at 12pm and two days in a row the fucking markets collapsed, as he incessantly weaved a bearish narrative — talking extreme shit. It’s wholly ridiculous that anyone would listen to that piece a shit. It’s even worse than CNBC is bringing that cock sucker onto their channel for two days in a row. God damn it.

Ever since he got off that air — markets have recovered. We are seeing extreme buying in software stocks, especially SAAS — +3.7% for the day. All of the larger cap bubble stocks are running. Things look good, aside from the small cappers — which are still entrenched in hell — down by 1.2%. I am still down by 1%, mainly due to over-trading and over-thinking. In short, I am in a cold run and it’s best I keep a large cash position in order to reduce the damage I am prone to do to myself during these spates.

Nevertheless, SAAS up usually precedes a gap higher in everything, so I remain obstinately bullish.

Big Caps Crush; Small Cappers Delivered Back to Hell

Full rout is underway for small cap IWM lovers, while the whole FANG concept flourishes. This is of course an odd divergence and the market on the whole looks damn healthy. But underneath the shiny veneer is a monster and the small plebs in the small pleb stock, aside from their RETARDED AMC-GME gambits, are getting flummoxed and destroyed. It should be known that I took the morning off in order to better situate myself, start anew, clear my head. None of that shit worked so far, as I am down another 60bps, eagerly awaiting “harvest” at 12pm to save me from my own stupidity.

While it’s true, 60bps is nothing and I piss on it — the fact I am unable to gain any semblance of momentum speaks to the type of tape we’re in — one of sheer malevolence and trickery.

Alt energy and solar stocks look good for now, while oils and commodity related stocks into the trash.

At 45% cash, I can either play it small or play it big by re-entering some names here ahead of the harvest. Perhaps I shall re-enter, in order re-ignite a little excitement into my otherwise moribund time spent here. Or, perhaps moribund is preferable to heart pounding shower shitting, should the market reverse and pound lower.

I can tell you one thing — Stocklabs hasn’t been this oversold on its algos since 5/12. We are for sure overdue a nice sizable bounce in the IWM.

FAT, SLOW, GREASY

I hate myself for the type of person I have become the past two days, HALVING my gains for the month to +8% and booking another 2% loss. I can offer you a long list of excuses. My mother is visiting and I am not using my office and all of my monitors. She is also HARANGUING me with non stop commentary and I am forced to run chores all day long. HOWEVER, I did not trade poorly because of that. Back in the 90s I used to write my fucking trades on pink tickets and my monitor didn’t have dynamic quotes and yet I still managed to crush. Nothing can stop a good trader from trading well and nothing can stop a bad trader from trading to zero.

I closed with more than 50% cash and a disposition racked in misery. I will attempt to start anew tomorrow and take a different approach. The fades have been persistent and the pops out of nowhere. The way I was trading isn’t working now so I’ll need to trade carefully otherwise I risk squandering what was an excellent month.

ALL EYES ON THE BLACK GOLD

Markets are milquetoast today and I am exactly flat, sort of stupid and a grandiose waste of time. I will now shovel words onto this blog in an effort to formulate a coherent narrative, perhaps discuss oil and its virtues as it barrels towards $75. Or, perhaps I will pivot back to tech and discuss the many nice charts in SAAS and how it portends to a rally in tech.

Do not forget we have the Fed to discuss today and how it might bode well for gold. So many narratives, so little time.

Cryptos have fallen again and the bears are shitting into the dinner plates of crypto maxis. Perhaps a good buy? Perhaps.

It’s all shit until something happens. Opinions and narratives are in fact worthless, unless of course you stick to them. I know myself and I am bullish on a thing one minute, bearish the next. So why pretend? I like oil today and I like the idea of frackers going up mainly because I am sentimental and recall the halcyon days of when oil was so high it crippled the poor — relegated them to public transport. All glibness aside, I empathize for the poor and do not like to see people suffer. But on the whole, they’re dirty scoundrelous people without decorum and a basic sense of dignity. Naturally this doesn’t apply to all — but it does to most. Ergo, and this goes without saying, people get what they deserve.

REMINDER: 12pm looms and we shall in fact enjoy a bountiful harvest soon. We sprang higher by 0.45% yesterday from 12pm to 1pm and have gone up 10 days and down 1 for the month of June during this all of a sudden magical lunch hour for stocks.

PREPARING FOR TOMORROW’S BOUNTY

I barely worked today, opting to take it easy — drive out into the confederate parts of NC to eat lunch and make fun of the locals. My wife is incapable of making fun of anyone, so I basically spoke to myself.  In my YOLO account I went ALL IN on SLCA — because of WTI moving closer to $75. Mark my fucking words son, once WTI busts thru $75 — PANDEMONIUM WILL BREAK LOOSE IN FRACKERS.

I made coin in the YOLO and my Quant but shed horribly in my trading by 222bps. I did, however, sow the fields in preparation for tomorrow’s harvest and look forward to reversing my recent misfortunes and pressing higher with a gentle ease and low carbon footprint, as is customary with men of my stature.

It’s easy to get demoralized when trading. Sometimes it seems like things will never get better. But since I have decades of experience and a long and rich track record of unbridled success, I find comfort in the fact that I will, without question, trade greatly once again.

THE HARVEST WAS BOUNTIFUL

Today was loss from the beginning. Alas, I ebbed into the market with all of my nuts and bought more and more — went on a trip deep into redneck NC and came back an hour later to a harvest. I REDUCED my losses from 3.2% to 2.2% and find myself GRATEFUL for the small losses, which are of course less than larger losses.

BEHOLD: Stocklabs hourly seasonality for IWM between the hours of 12pm and 1pm wins again.

I cleaned house, sold it out, and now just reallocated half my money towards more defensive industries, as secular stocks break loose to the upside. I am sorry, picks are for members only. If you care to lose just 2.2% for the day, join us in Stocklabs and let the stock picking be done by the professionals.

THE HARVEST IS COMING

Markets look dreadful at the open, all but AMC of course which is spring-boarding higher. I had a situation on my hands this morning where I could not stop buying stocks and leveraged up to 138% before the Apple store called me and fucked up my mojo. Markets reversed whilst I was on the phone with that bitch and now I am down 220bps. I would like to panic but I understand things you do not. See 12-1pm has enjoyed FLAWLESS execution from 12pm to 1pm during June for the IWM. “They” don’t want you to know this — but I know it and now you know it. We’re all gonna get rich!

I’ve had a mixed day at the races, booked some gains in AMC, some losses in 100 other stocks. All in all, an unprofitable day. HOWEVER, I am eternally hopeful and plus I removed myself from margin — now 18% cash eagerly and savagely awaiting 12pm to see my crops grow.

Late Date Ramp Could Not Save Me

I ended the day off by 165bps, bogged into hell for various concerns. I mostly harvested small trading losses today and could not for the life of me find a decent winner. I had WOOF but sold too early. It was one of those days where listless trading held me to the fires and roasted my stomach by turning the rotisserie nice and slow.

I got aggressive into the close, allocating everything long and into margin. With +12.5% MTD gains, this is a stupid thing to do. However, if I get lucky tomorrow morning, I will once again consider myself to be a genius of incredible proportions. People will laud and praise me and offer me safe passage into their dinner tables, or even to perform deviant acts with their wives. I of course being a gentleman of the first order will decline, respectfully, and continue my work as trader/slave for the masses.
