Stock for the Parent Company of CNNTurk Soars, Thanks to Failed Coup in Turkey

Prior to the coup, Dogan Holdings has a lot short sellers in the stock, as people believed Erdogan was going to clown slap freedom of the press, which included the CNN folks. However, and since Erdogan took to his FaceTime app with CNNTurk during the darkest moments of the flaccid coup attempt, investors who were short Dogan got their fucking brains scrambled for them today–as a new light of friendly relations with Erdogan helped the struggling company shine while everyone else fell into the abyss.

“The group earned praise from government officials following its broadcast of Erdogan on Friday,” said Figen Ozavci, the deputy chief executive officer at the Meksa Yatirim Menkul Degerler brokerage in Istanbul. “Investors seem to have interpreted this as the tension being reduced between the government and Dogan Holding, which is a positive given past experiences

Lesson learned?

If you happen to own a news channel in a country who is undergoing a coup attempt, FaceTime the deposed leader on live television. Who knows? Your stock might just climb 16% the next trading day, if he’s successful.

Crude Continues to Diverge from Stocks, Breaks $45 to the Downside

Question for you psychopaths out there: how low can WTI go without hurting stocks? Clearly, the market is strong, unfazed by harrowing terrorist attacks, and domestic strife. I’m pretty sure a 10 mega tonne nuclear device can detonate over a major US city and stocks would edge higher, after getting a 3:30 ramp into the bell.

But look at crude.

image

It’s a very sick old man, ghastly even. All of the viagra that market has taken is missing in the flaccid action in the oil pits. That being said, does it mean anything to you that 2017 marks the beginning of massive debt expirations in the patch?

No. I didn’t think so.

Wait, WTI trading lower is good for Pokemon trainers who want to travel to new regions to find rare Pokemon, yes? Ok, I got it.

Fucking idiots.

This Week in Exodus: Out of Gold, New Bubble Basket, Preparing for a Pullback

It’s 3am and I’ve been driving all night, so I’ll make this somewhat to the point. Last week I closed out my gold positions. I did so because…well, I’ll let me Exodus post speak for itself.

image

After booking my gold positions and watch stocks lift, I highlighted how overbought the market was, according to Exodus. Bear in mind, I’ve spoken about how overbought signals do not equate to immediate pullbacks before. As a matter of fact, Exodus overbought signals are better signals for stocks to rise, probability wise, than our oversold. However, there are levels to overbought heights and last week we reached a high point, the ebb tide.

image

Here is just one case of how stretched markets are, using only the basic resource sector as an example. The oscillator is our hybrid score model overlaid and specified for this particular sector. As you can see, these heights do not last very long, indicative of potential weakness in the not too distant future.

image

Lastly, I reu laced 16 names in my Bubble Basket, which is an index of stocks I deem shortable, a key barometer of risk that is readily tossed into the fires during periods of stress. This index is off by 17% for the year.

SoftBank Takes Some of Their $BABA Money and Acquires $ARMH for 50% Premium

Britain’s most valuable company, Arm Holdings, is being acquired for $32 billion or 50% higher than Ftoday’s closing price.

The chip giant, main supplier for Apple, should see its share price climb towards $70 today. If accepted and passed, this deal will represent the largest deal ever made by SoftBank.

Related: SoftBank just sold part of its Alibaba stake recently for $14 billion. In other words, they’re fading China, going long the UK.

China Shuts Down Popular Blog for Talking Smack About Officials Haircuts

These people running China are literally like the dark creatures from middle earth depicted in Lord of the Rings. It’s patently absurd to simply wipe out another person’s life’s work, and source of income,  just because it offended an important government official.

While our freedoms here are considerably greater than most countries in the world, the trend doesn’t look good for freedom. The lies  that were told to us, regarding how exporting our capitalism to countries like China would cause reform, is laughable. You know what has happened since we’ve undertaken a policy of extreme globalism, business first, America last?

Instead of changing the tyrants overseas to become more liberal, we’ve become more like them. And that goes for all western societies. China is your future.

At the peak of her WeChat blogging career, Laura Lian was earning about $7,000 a month. Writing satirical articles for more than 220,000 fans, she won backing from an investor and quit her public-relations job.

Then it all came tumbling down. Internet authorities shut down her blog, called Shameless China, with no warning. It happened just after she posted an article mocking Chinese men’s hairstyles, including former President Jiang Zemin’s slick-backed coiffure.

“It didn’t dawn on me how serious the situation was,” Lian said. “I didn’t realize I was never getting back this account and all my followers.”

Lian’s story underscores how precarious the world of blogging remains for many writers in China. Well-known bloggers have been jailed and shamed on national TV. Qin Zhihui, a well-known author on social-media platform Weibo, was sentenced to three years in prison for publishing false information to drive web traffic. A 2013 missive by the Supreme People’s Court and top national prosecutor effectively criminalized defamatory web posts that are read by more than 5,000 people, reposted more than 500 times or caused people to hurt themselves.

As one of the 20 million official accounts operating on Tencent Holdings Ltd.’s WeChat, Lian’s account stood out for its blunt and edgy humor about Chinese and expatriate stereotypes. WeChat, which had 762.4 million monthly active users at the end of March, is a mobile app that blends chats, blogging, shopping, digital wallets and other smartphone apps.

Even before she started Shameless, Lian knew censorship was an issue. China polices and aggressively scrubs online content deemed undesirable or a threat to society, from violence and pornography to anti-government commentary. Tencent said in May that it deleted 85,000 rumor articles and that 7,000 accounts were punished for violating regulations “to maintain a healthy internet environment.”

Canny Lo, a spokeswoman for Tencent, didn’t respond to an e-mail and text message seeking comment.

Zero Fucks: Futures Higher After Tumultuous Weekend

I am not surprised in the least. Horrific events in Nice, France, a failed coup in Turkey and a racially motivated killing of police officers in Baton Rouge cannot stop the perverts from buying SPY futs.

The pound is higher by 0.4%, yen lower and futs up around 3. The NIKKEI is closed tonight, so we’ll all need to imagine how much Nintendo would’ve gone up today, had Tokyo been open.

In the week ahead, anticipate racially divisiveness in Cleveland, as the media foments wanton hatred against Trump and his supporters, during the RNC convention. And, look out for  last minute fuckery by the RNC, who might try to steal the nomination from Trump.

Lastly, western societies continue to cede to the will of barbarians, like castrated cowards led by Manchurian candidates.

Sole Killer in Baton Rouge Identified as Gavin Eugene Long

Apparently, a black male named Gavin Eugene Long from Kansas City, MO, was the sole shooter in the killings of 3 Baton Rouge police officers, injuring another 3, one in very critical condition. He committed these heinous acts on his 29th birthday, like the fucking moron that he was.

It is being reported that he belonged to an anti-govt group. Two other ‘persons of interest’ have been detained.

Burn in hell Mr. Long.

Cop on the Scene in Baton Rouge Describes Assailants

CNN is floating ideas from drug deal gone awry to cops merely responding to a  man down on the ground, apparently injured. The fucking Mayor of Baton Rouge said it looked like an ambush, but the catamites at CNN are fighting this tooth and nail. It goes against their distorted narrative.

Here is footage of cop on the scene describing the assailants.

Mayor of Baton Rouge: Cops Were Ambushed

In an interview with Fox news, the Mayor of Baton Rouge, Kip Holden, said he believed the attacks were an ambush to purposely kill cops. The fucking lunatics at CNN are floating the idea this was a 9am drug deal gone awry. That being said, 3 cops are dead, 3 wounded, 1 in ‘extremely critical condition.’ Moreover, 1 of the terrorists have been killed, but two are at large. There were rumors that 1 suspect was having a standoff with police, but that couldn’t be confirmed.

The descriptions of the suspects border on the inane, folks in camo, wearing black masks. No idea, whatsoever, the color of the person(s) skin.
