Apparently, a black male named Gavin Eugene Long from Kansas City, MO, was the sole shooter in the killings of 3 Baton Rouge police officers, injuring another 3, one in very critical condition. He committed these heinous acts on his 29th birthday, like the fucking moron that he was.
It is being reported that he belonged to an anti-govt group. Two other ‘persons of interest’ have been detained.

To be honest I disagree with most of what traderconfessions says, but I have no problem with reasonable restrictions on firearms. That being said, I am a licensed handgun carrier and own a shitload of guns. Honestly, optics for assault rifles are so good these days. The holographic sight is deadly thing of beauty. heckler you seem like a good dude but confused a bit. This is America man. We do not do fascism. If you look into what “Progressives” want. You will find the ultimate us against them mentality that is really ugly. This country may or may not have real problems. Gun ownership is not one of them.
The Constitution is the tits. It’s a thing of beauty. But it doesn’t grant citizens rights. It doesn’t give us anything. On the contrary, the Constitution outlines what the government can’t control. What they can’t take away from us. Innate, natural, inalienable rights of human being citizens of this once great country.
So they can’t take away our speech. The can’t control my religion. But to think that can’t have some policy to regulate guns at this point, uh, I don’t know. We were supposed to be able to amend the Constitution too. Change as we grow.

I really don’t want to carry water for the anti-gun crowd, but we already regulate guns significantly. For example convicted felons basicly can never own a gun again. Fully automatic weapons are regulated very strictly and you must buy a special federal stamp to own one. I don’t have a problem moving line a little and limiting extended capacity long guns. Just my opinion.
