I am not going to make this a partisan blog; but I will of course offer some thoughts on the election results, since it’s all anyone wants to talk about now.
The day before the election the Washington Post said Biden +12.
This isn’t just bad polling, but malpractice. The entire election season has been filled with nothing short of Anti-Trump propaganda. I get it. You hate Trump; but that doesn’t mean you get to distort reality. In fact, you injure the people who you endear the most by presenting a false reality to them. If Trump does in fact lose and we one day reflect upon his term as President, the one thing we will remember, aside from Twitter, is the exposed media laid bare, revealing what they truly are: monsters.
When I say media, I also mean social networks, like Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube/Google — because they’re editors and curate what is permissible on their platforms. Their destructive and anti-free speech policies and censorship is nothing less than evil. By evil, I mean they’re anti-truth. In the annals of history, when it’s all said and done, the bad guys are the one’s who do not want the truth displayed for “normal people.” The bad guys are the one’s who lack civility and objectivity, the ability to remove themselves from their political bias and instead be a humanist. Love thy neighbor. Help those in need. Do not cast aspersions based upon bias.
I am long mankind, not so much the apparatus of America as it is presently situated. There is a sickness in government and in the culture that is infecting and distorting people to behave with malice. At the end of the day, we all want a cool breeze, some sunshine, and a nice plate of food, as we drift, gracefully, with respect and honor, into the afterlife.

Agree. But one has to wonder how people in Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Syria, Libya, etc. would view your spot on lament about our media. I’d guess they might say, “fuck you snowflake American and your trivial social upset. Look what we’ve had to deal with!”
For 19 years 9/11 has been used to suppress truth tellers while we slaughtered, maimed and displaced millions of civilians who did nothing to harm us. Maybe this has had something to do with the moral rot reflected in our discourse.
If trump wins again I will try and become a fascist trump supporter again but last time that only lasted like a week because it’s not my style.
How did the polls get it so wrong?!? Is this why people don’t believe in science anymore?
If Trump wins I can finally be free to say to me neighbors “go back where you came from” and be in the majority for once!
Totally! And honestly same goes for woman they need to learn their place again
Science isn’t really the sort of thing people should believe in. That’s not what’s going on here.
I just feel like because the polls are numbers and they are always so wrong that’s why people think covid and climate change are hoaxes
No one thinks either of those things is a hoax quite how you say.
The hoax is in the estimates of severity and cost benefit analysis. Most people have simply concluded that neither the wuhan virus or climate change presents a real danger to them personally and are willing to accept the risks of an unmitigated response.
And they may well be right about that. Most people have a fraction of a percent risk from the virus and don’t own $20 million homes they built on small islands 5ft above sea level. They don’t care.
But they’re told they should care. That is the hoax.
I sense an important insight, now yelling so I know it’s true. Brilliant.
“The bad guys are the one’s who lack civility and objectivity, the ability to remove themselves from their political bias and instead be a humanist.”
Tell that to Boogaloo boys who tried to derail the Biden bus in Austin. That’d be a good start.
