Buy Stocks; Buy Cryptos — Live Richly

The past week has been splendid for everyone except all of Asia, presently maligned by the plague. Here in the states, we wear big hats and walk with hard canes — cordially greeting one another at the theatre, gleefully checking in on our account statements which show growth in our stock and crypto portfolios.

Over the past week I’ve been buying Ethereum and find it to be a wonderfully acceptive side hobby of mine — placing large sums of dollars into something totally irrelevant and without purpose. I simply buy it for the gains and then I whimsically move on from that and screen for stocks to buy and those go up too. I haven’t checked the market for the past two hours, but I am sure it went higher, say nearly 300 points? Am I close?

Everything about living in these times is grande. Even the cocaine is pink.

Into the bell, I gazed upon my DAO double down placed yesterday with pride, knowing full well I have no business in the stock — let alone at a 10% weighting. Then again, I’m merely a cog in a giant fantasy wheel, lingering around for scraps left by large machines who pervert grab stocks like a sunbeam on Irish skin.

If you aren’t up at least 20% in the first month and a half of 2020 are you even really in the market?

Gains have been entirely stupid this year. Getting Mrs Rabbit a vehicle was easy, but I’ll be damned if I can find those big ass bows like in the commercial…

Enigma goes by the handle Coinspeak.
He’s all in on BSV and I really think he’s onto something here. If this is indeed the real Bitcoin, and so many signs are pointing that way, it could be a life changing investment. Worth buying a few and HODLing 4ever. It’s an all or nothing play but you may someday regret no owing any.

And BTW, Coinspeak has a twitter account and his own blog which is seldom updated.

BSV had a massive run a few weeks ago. My guess is Coinspeak made a bunch during that. Well done!
Unfortunately, I have not followed BSV.
Elevator pitch – why is BSV better?

I suggest reading his posts that discuss the virtues of BSV. His reference to the term Bitcoin means BSV, not BTC, since BSV is what Bitcoin was intended to be.

            I followed your link:
” fundamentally, BSV is superior to BTC in every way.”
            That’s very convincing evidence.

“The market is slowly catching on. Look for the charts to reflect this over the next year.”

            Charts – Not fundamentals

For fundamentals look at bitcoinblocks.live and coin.dance

I clicked on the bitcoinblocks.live link. It’s more charts.
Again, price charts are not fundamentals.

Still looking for one of many reasons BSV is superior. I don’t know if it is or isn’t; no evidence either way.

C’mon, dude. I know 8yos with longer attention spans.

“For fundamentals look at bitcoinblocks.live and coin.dance”

The very next sentence in his blogpost:
“Both sites tell the story of BSV growing in transactions and the current disparity in price.”

Isn’t transactions what cryptos are all about?

            Two sentences later:
“In the model above I am using hash, transactions and blocksize as three key metrics for arriving at Fair Market Value.”

Coinspeak setup a pond full of water and I took you there, but some horses just won’t drink.

Not enough to affect this rainbows-out-the-butt market.
“Oh good, that means other manufactures can sell more cars”

In a US popualtion of 380(?) million, 6-7,000,000 peopel got the flu last year.

COVID-19 has proven much more contagious (5-35% of the people on 1 cruise ship ahve it) and China has lockdowned a population of 400 million, but so far claim only 44,000 have been confirmed. China is under immense pressure to keep their economy moving, so they would not have this lockdown unless they felt it was necessary. Obviously a massive underreporting, but hard to know just how much.

      The response since the 1st annoucement: Shanghai down 5%, S&P 500 +2%

“15,152 new confirmed cases were reported in the Chinese mainland as of the end of Wednesday, including 13,332 clinically diagnosed patients in Hubei: National Health Commission”

I don’t know if I enjoy being right as much as certain others enjoy it when I’m wrong, but I DO enjoy being right.

BTW, there is no way that the Princess Diamond releases their passengers next Wednesday. Some of them might have gotten sick in the last 24 hours and may not show symptoms until March.

Not sure why they’d leave them on the boat though. Better to bring them all to an outdoor facility in a warm climate and keep them isolated there. This way, those who are unaffected won’t get the virus by virtue of sitting on a virus laden ship with recirculating air. Being on one of these boats almost guarantees that you will contract the virus.

I agrre that would be ideal, but there are 3700 people so that is a big area (several football fields). Probably why the US is already prepping multiple military bases for quarantine.

            More news:
“Japan confirmed its first death from the virus. The woman, in her 80s, resided in Kanagawa prefecture outside of Tokyo, Health Minister Katsunobu Kato told a press conference. She was being treated for a separate condition. Kyodo News reported that she had no known links to Wuhan.”

Yes, she was already unhealthy, but the key sentence is the last one: how did she get sick? Another unknown carrier wandering about, just like London.

Also, the ship probably confirms something else China said (last Friday?): the virus can be transferred via aerosol (airborne). This is different than someoen coughing on you (that’s “direct contact”).

Aerosol means just breathing air that someone sick exhaled several hours earlier. CDC is still not noting this as a risk for COVAD-19.

China car companies not doing so hot.

Sales drop 21%, NIO can’t pay employees, and TSLA is raising capital.
    https://in.finance.yahoo.com/news/tesla-seeks-raise-2-billon-135320086.html

    Is (a) Musk a liar,
(b)the situation in China much worse than he expected just 2 weeks ago, or
    (c) the stock is vastly overpriced and Musk is takign advantage?

Any other explanations from the Telarati?

Based on (1) the recall, (2) likely drop in China sales, and (3) new dilution, I expected TSLA to fall. However, its up. I think I figured out why: the SEC and Justice Department are both looking into their finacing arrangements with their customers:
      https://www.marketwatch.com/story/tesla-discloses-sec-issued-subpoenas-in-december-for-information-on-financial-data-and-contracts-2020-02-13

I don’t recall a stock making a parabolic move like this with investors still ignoring all the red flags. I guess that’s the advantage of losing money hand-over-fist: you can only get better. Really curious how this plays out.

Can you give a little background on why you are the way you are? Why you want a deadly virus to be more contagious and deadly than currently reported? Why it pains you so much that stocks are priced where they are? Just the ultimate truth seeker or something else?

          1) Yes I can.
          2) I’m just looking at facts, and drawing conclusions. It just happens to be that the virus is turning out worse than most people (inclduiging myself) thought. Why don’t you just bookmark this and we’ll check back in a month to see where I was on the chicken little / nostradamus scale?
          3) should,be obvious
          4) (referring to yesterday) Alos, I *don’t* believe that most investors are morons. I do believe that most are ignorant. Do you need me to explain the difference to you?

Alty no offense – kinda infantile
Any mildly sophisticated thinker would know to be skeptical of negative news flow from China. Independent outlets had viable information early, that the strain was manufactured and there was a level 4 biolab in Wuhan. It’s cognitively overt when you know a govt authority is underreporting, 1) misrepresenting the situation, but doing so to 2) manipulate your perception, as well as 3) protect their own financial security. While assuming you are conducive to being duped.
