VIX hit 30.30 (my target from yesterday) dropped, and then ramped in a nasty close to 28.38. Also, still didn’t really see any elevator action..
However, we can’t just keep going down week after week because the stock market (and govt’ support) has a bullish bias. Example: buyers looked to be waiting for NFLX near $250, so it never even reached its Feb lows.
The dual message:
1) Most investors ARE still dip-buying and do not believe the bear market thesis
2) We are way overdue for a rally, and bears (like myself) are probabyl eager for better entry points
Tomorrow will be intersting, but I intend to be a spectator for most of the day. I have a feeling that we’ll see the face-ripping rally that people have been expecting. Bulls will take it as an all clear, rally ’till Dec 28 (Merry Christmas), and then drop below Feb 2018 lows in January (Happy New Year).
