Futures have reversed lower this morning — for reasons that are a bit opaque to me at the moment. While reading the morning news, this little fucking gem caught my attention.
When asked about the CFO of Huawei being detained, brought up on charges against the state for violating the sanctimonious Iranian sanctions — Trump, with all his gall, said this.
“If I think it’s good for the country, if I think it’s good for what will be certainly the largest trade deal ever made — which is a very important thing — what’s good for national security — I would certainly intervene if I thought it was necessary.”
And the response is outrage.
Back in the U.S., Senator Richard Blumenthal said at a Senate hearing on Chinese espionage that he was worried about Trump’s comment as it made it look like U.S. law enforcement was “a tool of either trade or political or diplomatic ends of this country.”
In response, Assistant Attorney General John Demers affirmed that the Justice Department is not “a tool of trade.”
“What we do at the Justice Department is law enforcement. We don’t do trade,” Demers said.
With those comments we can conclude that Trump probably had no idea this was going to happen. The actors involved here at pretending like this is just another criminal probe, no fucking big deal. It sounds to me, frankly, like there are elements inside of the government interested in fucking with China and preventing a deal.
The rule of law is an ass, subjective, and changeable — wholly political and disgusting. You can go back to pretending we’re not a banana republic, no different from the shithole countries around the globe — only with a lot more pomp and pageantry.

Collectively, their and MSM’s big victory thus far may be the destruction of the intermediate range nuclear nuke missile treaty through their insisting on Trump showing how confrontational he/we is/are with Russia. More nukes, a big when for the lefttards.
It isn’t necessary to have skilled/dirtbag pols (who actually staff hoards of capable lawyers) to convict a criminal family when the public is inundated with more and more legally valid evidence of their inter-generational felonies.
Also, winning more than 80% of the vote in the general election means she was given a strong mandate by huge segments of Republicans to prosecute the real crimes that took place in the state of NY.
I’m talking about real world affects.
I doubt anybody on this blog would label me a conservative, but I don’t think the eveident level of campaign finance crimes – or any other crimes I’ve seen **evidence** of – are enough to remove a President. Think of the precedent that would set.
That being said, if Mueller has evidence of the Russia-Wikileaks-Stone-Trump Campaign links, then sayonara. Sweetheart real estate deals linked to foreign gov’t are alos evidence of a President working in his own best interests and not the country’s.
I’m all for letting him stay in the White House till January 2021. Nonetheless, he still faces the real prospects of being the first former President to spend time in a state (not federal) prison–if his children refuse to be his fall guys/gal.
Lyndon, NO president will go to jail under the current system. Their having a combination of dirt on the powers that be – and by virtue of their having held the office of the presidency, the access to the public to get listened to – makes them too dangerous.
He will be and should be the first, upon having been found guilty after a trial in a state court.
Again, Vance and James can convict and Cuomo will not pardon. He can threaten to blow up the world in his attempt to avoid due process, but he will fail. Bigly.

Sad but true, although I’d have left out the word “wholly”.

Where was Blumenthal when the DOJ let European bankers who violated US law/sanctions walk with mere fine against their banks? Is he a racist who wants to jail Meng just because she’s Chinese?
