Nothing felt right, aside from my cannabis lotto picks. My positions were getting stale and old, and lost momentum. My active account is designated to find new opportunities every day, not hold onto and wish for flailing positions to jimmy higher based on a miracle.
I sold most of my holdings — moving to a 70% cash store.
My only encouraging holding with verve are JG, NETC, IIPR, and ZYNE.
I’m certain pot stocks will run out of momo soon and bears will declare victory. But the trade is far from over and there is plenty of opportunities left in the space for those with good timing and patience.

Absolutely, but my timing isn’t so good. For those that want to play, consider this: the midterms will be critical for the stock in two ways:
1) Pot can’t lose in the midterms. Old fogeys lose, whether it is a liberal dems or the Tea Parry republicans.
2) Trump will fire Jeff Session’s to block Mueller’s probe of Trump’s financial records. Then there will be two more AGs: a temporary one that has alread been through Senate Confirmation, and a permanent one that will have to be approved by the Senate. It is likely that both will be much more open towards pot legalization, which will be even more significant than the House results
Also, we are still in the parabolic upswing version of the Pot bubble. Tilray is down significantly from it’s highs, but the key is that almost nobody got burned. Most pot investors bought before yesterdays open or during the first hour, so -30% losses from the ~$300 high were just paper losses matched by paper gains.
I don’t see how TLRY stock doesn’t reach $280 again this year – but over several days – and then come down to really hurt the late train hoppers. Maybe it will be a sell-the-news peak coinciding with Sessions’ firing.
