I stepped in and bought XIV a little bit below these levels this morning, as reported in Exodus. So you know, I am buying this for my great, great, grandchildren. They will certainly appreciate today’s purchase when my estate is divvied up and they spend my money recklessly on stupid shit.

At some point in the next two generations VIX will jump 200% in one day and XIV will go to zero.
Consistent monthly bear put spreads on UVXY are where it’s at.
Buy XIV outright after the entire VIX curve inverts…which will probably happen every 3-5 years.
Also, just a straight martingale strategy in long dated UVXY puts works well if things get really out of hand.

Re: Crypto-selloff. The Tether scam is about to be exposed now that the CFTC is involved. I’d watch out below if I held cryptos. The potential Tether scam had no small role in the rise of Bitcoin and the rest of the crypto-complex.
