Is King Dollar About to Get Lit the Fuck Up?

I think so. With the tax cuts coming in and the Trump administration spending like drunken fools, it’s only a matter of time before the dollar sinks to new lows.

The play here, obviously, is long GLD. I am long both GLD and JNUG at the open of trade for 2018, not because I had a hunch that the dollar was gonna get smoked, but because I’m a better trader than you.

Any questions?

Welcome to 2018, fucked face.

Fairly obvious trade when the tax cuts passed…… could be a trap

Dr. Le Fly, last night I belatedly caught some of a Youtube speech by a Man claiming to be some part of iBankcoin. Was that fellow actually YOU, are just one of the many bearded muppets under your employ? The fellow was a reasonable handsome muppet, don’t get me wrong. Just wondering…no homo.

I will take your non-response as a “Fuck off, and please don’t subscribe to my Exodus.”

USD needs to go lower to gain momentum for its final phoenix flight.

I don’t agree – would require dollars leaving the US for more attractive investment locations. With the US growth rate increasing, the new, attractive, investment taxation policies and regulations decreasing, investment in the US (dollar based) economy should also increase – much like it did during the mid-late 1990s. Will the dollar get smoked in this pro-investment environment? I don’t think so – unless, say Europe, adopts similar policies.

all peripheral economies are short USD because USD is a reserve currency, foreign gov’ts and companies finance trade w/ USD, pay down debts in USD, they roll over funding all the time in repo, FX etc; thus, the world is net short USD. With FED hiking int rates, there will be soon shortage of USD which will lead to a short squeeze = USD to da moon. The trouble is that those cheating synagogue (((mofos))) at the FED are printing USD thru the back door; unreported.

Who knows how it plays out. What we do know is that the adjustment out of the dollar/persistent trade deficits will be huge when it comes and will dwarf the little technical adjustments you cite.

Prudent to be following price here. Pity if Cassandra didn’t get a seat on the short bus.

Interesting perspective. Maybe the outcome will be a rebalancing of dollar trade, a soaring dollar but ultimately leading to the end of dollar hegemony. More or less in the direction that Sarc has proposed.
