Trump’s tax bill is dead, or at least on ice, as the perverts in Congress find other things to do other than run the government. How’s that gigantic an beautiful southern border wall coming along? With the tax bill all but dead and Trump fucking with Schumer and Pelosi on twitter, a government shutdown is all but a foregone conclusion. Apparently, he told aids that a shutdown would help him in the polls, or something to that effect.
The Germans seem to be quite sad that Americans aren’t getting tax cuts, seeing that their markets are off by 1%. Here in the great United Steaks, Dow futures -66, Nasdaq -37.
Dare I say, today is a fine day for VIX players?
Republicans Senators are working hard to pass the biggest Tax Cuts in the history of our Country. The Bill is getting better and better. This is a once in a generation chance. Obstructionist Dems trying to block because they think it is too good and will not be given the credit!

Love blaming the dems when it’s 2 R senators that are stalling/killing the bill. One of whom he smacked talked on twitter earlier this month.
Well done Sir!
I agree, but that’s two no votes from republicans, how many yes votes from the dem side?
Let’s go volatile
Decentralized internet in the form of blockchain peer-to-peer protocols, i.e. the torrent protocol, would eliminate pretty much all the centralized social networks/media and evolved into exactly the same functionality but w/o CIA/Mossad behind it. That would be one huge bonus for humanity.
It’s a crappy bill. My guess is that if they could truly vote their consciences there would be more Republican “No” votes. But when 2 step forward to do the heavy lifting, the others are given a pass to vote “Yes”.
Yes it’s a bad bill, but those two have proposed to withdraw cuts if growth doesn’t come as “expected” …so, in a recession, you’d get a tax increase. They’ve found a way to make a disastrous bill even worse.
True. Now, when things look strong, is the time to be raising taxes, not when they are weak.
That, however is not the GOP way.
The Republicans have been saying that they want to (1) cut taxes for the middle class and (2) cut spending t pay for it. Not a view popular with Democrats, but could still get good public support. Why don’t they do that? Republicans don’t like to cut spending.
They said that they would cut the corporate taxe and **cut corporate loopholes** to pay for it. Very popular with the general public, but also hard work. Why don’t they do that? Too many special interest groups to appease.
Even the Tea Party doesn’t seem t care, even though debt reduction is one of their core issues.
