Bigger picture. Currently watching 4 hurricanes forming.
First there was Irma; Cat 5 220 mph gusts. Yesterday a depression, about 3 or 4 days behind Irma formed into a tropical storm, NOAA expects it to become a hurricane (Jose) headed westward. Another depression sitting off the Gulf coast of Mexico also has formed into a tropical storm, again NOAA expects this to become a hurricane (Katia) path unknown. Then it looks like another will be following behind Jose that is currently off the coast of Africa headed east. Not yet a tropical storm.
Irma is suddenly veering north of Puerto Rico which will take it towards Miami.
