Establishment Turns on ANTIFA; It’s Now Quite Fashionable to Condemn Them

In the September issue of The Atlantic, the cosmopolitan political magazine for globalist elites, the topic of ANTIFA was broached. I wouldn’t call their assessment of the alt-left group a rebuke, but instead a mild chastising.

Antifa believes it is pursuing the opposite of authoritarianism. Many of its activists oppose the very notion of a centralized state. But in the name of protecting the vulnerable, antifascists have granted themselves the authority to decide which Americans may publicly assemble and which may not. That authority rests on no democratic foundation. Unlike the politicians they revile, the men and women of antifa cannot be voted out of office. Generally, they don’t even disclose their names.

Antifa’s perceived legitimacy is inversely correlated with the government’s. Which is why, in the Trump era, the movement is growing like never before. As the president derides and subverts liberal-democratic norms, progressives face a choice. They can recommit to the rules of fair play, and try to limit the president’s corrosive effect, though they will often fail. Or they can, in revulsion or fear or righteous rage, try to deny racists and Trump supporters their political rights. From Middlebury to Berkeley to Portland, the latter approach is on the rise, especially among young people.

Revulsion, fear, and rage are understandable. But one thing is clear. The people preventing Republicans from safely assembling on the streets of Portland may consider themselves fierce opponents of the authoritarianism growing on the American right. In truth, however, they are its unlikeliest allies.

After the events in Berkeley this past weekend, where ANTIFA thugs went haywire, beating Trump supporters up for sport, support for the violent leftist group plunged.

Now we’re seeing widespread condemnation from both the media and establishment hacks, deep state troglodytes and politicians alike. Clearly, someone pulled the plug on ANTIFA. Perhaps an important think tank did some proprietary polling and concluded the risk-reward analysis wasn’t worth shilling for them anymore, especially in light of the events in Texas. Back in June, Trump supporter and advocate, Jack Posobiec, wondered why CNN didn’t even acknowledge the group’s existence.

Here’s a brief rundown of some of the recent remarks. Bear in mind, about a fortnight ago, the media and a whole slew of politicians, on both the right and the left, condemned President Trump for criticizing ANTIFA. Both Marco Rubio and Mitt Romney praised the group as being ‘anti-fascist.’
Remember this?

The worm has turned.

The Morning Shill got the go ahead to condemn the masked marauders.

Apparently, some didn’t get the memo.

This is a tragedy for conservatives. Antifa, BLM, and Muslim terror are the most powerful propaganda tools we have to show how nuts the left is. It is amazing how controlled the narrative is at times.

Even with this loss, may we still destroy cultural marxism and its chief weapons- degeneracy and mass migration.

“Clearly, someone pulled the plug on ANTIFA.”

    Indeed.

And a couple months hence, most who identified themselves as Antifa will not acknowledge – even to themselves – that they were Antifa.

i had comedy central on last night and actually watched the Daily Show. My jaw almost hit the floor when his opening piece was about ANTIFA.

They were baby punches, but it’s still eye opening when someone actually goes after their own side.

Sounds like the same logic King George used to deride the colonists.

As for the Democrats, it is too late. The damage is irreversible. The videos, statements and reports are a matter of record, no matter how they try to amend it. ANTIFA have revealed themselves to be the angry, violent, weaponized arm of the Democrat party, and Mr and Mrs America know it.

I believe that most of the American ANTIFA thugs are drawn from the disillusioned Bernie Sanders wing of the Democrat party, that have since been financed by Soros as part of the Clinton Purple Revolution, with the full political support of Pelosi, Shumer, Waters and Sanders. They thought their true Communist saviour, Bernie Sanders, had arrived, only to see the DNC “knife the baby”.* Having been duped by their own party, and Bernie Sanders himself, they have nothing left to them but to take to the streets within the violent, primitive, primate culture that is ANTIFA. They have become the equivalent of Vladimir Lenin’s ‘useful fools’.

The Atlantic commentary is written as if ANTIFA is a uniquely American institution. It is not; ANTIFA originated in Germany and is active throughout the western world. They have the same uniform, the same flag, the same tactics and the same objectives. I would not be surprised to find that money from the SPLC has been moved offshore to support ANTIFA agitprop elsewhere. The SPLC being the ‘Political Commissar’ and ANTIFA being the ‘Red Army’.

This problem is not going away. Their backers, the seditionist Elites, will not stop until America has descended into a hate-filled, murderous, flaming pit of hell. They are pure evil, and must be hunted down with extreme vigilance.

So little thought to so many words. Sure you aren’t describing Trump supporters? Angry mobs, violence, and Red Army support.

Funny how cuckpots are so intimidated by a bunch of political science dropouts in costume. They are so scary.. Boo! How many ANTIFA are there in the US? A few hundred? And don’t expect them to be protesting during any Adult Swim reruns. And the white nationalists are just a bunch of good ole boys with no ill intent. Right?

Now the SPLC is a Fascist Overlord? Come on dude…you know better. Geez.

You’re on the wrong side of this one Confessions. Antifa and the SPLC are dangerous anti-American scum. Defending them makes you look like a crazy person.

I respectfully disagree. Most major cities, and the media/tv entertainment are full left supporting. They simply will ignore it. Look how much has had to happen to finally even admit about ANTIFA? Who the fuck did they think Trump was talking about when he said “many sides”?

Yes I agree with your sentiments on the corporate media. But ANTIFA’s violence and intolerance have been exposed, not by the corporate media, but the alternative media.

This is a major turning point. So much so that the corporate media and their political machine have had to acquiesce and throw ANTIFA under the bus.

The general public, including so-called ‘normies’, no longer proffers to the corporate media the respect and credibility that they once enjoyed. They will now have to earn it back, with inch by inch of truth. There has been a paradigm shift in the public perception.

My worry is that the powers-that-be will try to shut down the alternative media by any and all means possible.

I think a majority of American people still, underneath a layer or two of frivolous facade, hold to some basic moral absolutes.
I’m also of the opinion, based on what I hear from conversations with John Q Public in my lowly political office, that these same people are fully “woke” presently.

Trump is proven correct in condemning antifa. Ryan, McCain, Rubio and a few of the other political cowards of the republican party are now following once again. Trump has also shown leadership with hurricane situation would now look for his approval to improve.

I’m relaxing by the pool after yet another winning week
In the market when I read your outrageous claim about the numbers of misfits attending ANtTIFA scrums. First, I’m surprised a guy from Brooklyn is so intimidated by these losers. Did you gave a bad experience with a member of your High School AV Squad back when? Those of us who grew up in the 60s can tell you these ANTIFA types are fakers. Cuckpots are making them out to be the dangerous spawn of ISIS and Patty Hearst.

Now don’t wake me from my snooze until you can prove state/side ANTIFA numbers are in the thousands. Alex Jones reports don’t count.

      Regards nonetheless.

Pretty lame passive aggressive reply. It’s not a question if ANTIFA intimidates me. They’re criminals rampaging through the streets stopping others from expressing their free speech rights. You’re a hippy loser who belongs to the worst generation in American history.
