You’re right but you have to see this as a “branding move”. Make an immediate and visual impact (Jobs, Jobs, Jobs and cheerleading the market) and then keep pressing the psychology of people that Trump is good for jobs and good for markets. That boosts confidence of investor which in turn boosts optimism, investing, lending, borrowing, and spurs economic activity… at least until it is pushed into a mania phase. With public participation way down despite high sentiment there’s still probably some room before that happens.
