I’m not going to be hoodwinked into believing Trump will cause a disruption in the matrix again and stocks will fall as a result. That has been the core bear thesis for a year now, hasn’t it? The theory is, Trump is such a wildcard that even the thought of him in the White House would cause nervous nellies to sell and run for cover. Thus far, that has not occurred.
Multiple news agencies are reporting that the President is exploring ways to fire and shit-can Robert Mueller. Good. I hope he does that, and more. I hope he fires everyone. Nonetheless, they’re just reports, more fake news for the masses, and not actual happenings.
I noted yesterday, markets were getting tired. Today, they are resting.
European indices are getting smashed — down by 1.3% — making our modest -0.3% pullback look minor.
WTI is off by 1.4%, further solidifying my theory that chasing crude stocks is for rusticate cavemen, and not for gentlemen of Wall Street.
I’ll be doing my weekly reshuffling again today — a full portfolio makeover.
