Former DOJ Official: Trump Jr. Didn’t Commit a Crime

Unfortunately, the smoking gun evidence of Trump Jr. meeting with a Russian lawyer isn’t a crime, according to Robert Driscoll, former Deputy Assistant Attorney General and Chief of Staff, Civil Rights Division, U.S. Department of Justice.

This man’s integrity and mastery of the law cannot and will not be repudiated. All of you crackpot internet lawyers need to shut up and take those nooses that were made for Trump Jr. and save them for Comey. More on that in a minute.

“I think people will make hay over the willingness to have the meeting. At the end of the day, it’s still very vague as to what statuary violations there would be. Collusion, in and of itself, isn’t a crime. There would need to be conspiracy to violate another law. And so this notion that there was a meeting, it may be politically unpalatable, but it’s certainly not a crime to say ‘ok I’ll listen.’ If you wanted to piece together a legal theory of criminal activity… I haven’t seen anything, other than esoteric campaign finance theories that don’t make a lot of sense.”

On the matter of Comey, inquiring minds want to know why he was seen walking into the NY Times building on June 22nd, 2017. The official story was Comey’s attendance of nice charity event. But that easily could’ve been arranged by the Times as a cover to meet with him.

Disgraced Former FBI Head, James Comey, heading into NY Times, most likely in tow with Rod Goldstone emails

While everyone is fixated on the contents of the Trump Jr. emails, which of course are important, I think more energy should be directed into finding out who leaked them. After all, these leaks are far more serious than the Wikileaks that the democrats bemoan over. They were used in an effort to derail a reviled and corrupt Presidential candidate, whereas these leaks are meant to destroy and take down a sitting President. The implications of the latter could have profound effects, including loss of life, should the schemes bear any fruit.

Enter Ben Wittes, Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution, a close friend of James Comey.

Shortly after Comey got fired, Wittes told CNN’s Anderson Cooper that Comey ‘had a story to tell’ and that the President should be scared.

I want you to pay attention to the following timeline, illustrated beautifully by Zerohedge.

On May 16th, Wittes tweeted this, just before the contents of Comey’s memo contents were leaked to the NY Times.

He did it again on May 18th, just before a story broke that said Comey asked AG Sessions to not leave him alone with Trump.

Then on June 23rd, just 1 day after Comey was seen entering the NY Times building, Wittes, aka Mr. Tick, tweeted this gem.

Today, following Trump Jr. published the Goldstone emails, Wittes gloated with a “Boom” tweet.

Perhaps he’s just a shitposter and this is all one big odd coincidence. Or, on the maniacal side, he’s a sociopath who cannot help but attract attention to himself by blurting out cryptic messages to his sycophantic fans regarding illegal intelligence leaks.

Your call.

How did Comey get those emails? That will be his undoing.

Next time you ladies watch some movie depicting a heroic, straight up, brave and noble FBI agent, check with reality and keep in mind that spineless weasel Comey walking into NYT like a rat to squeal on Trump Jr. by illegally leaking confidential documents obtained by spying….and that’s the real FBI, cowardly and scummy.

That NYT building is the dragon’s lair. Consider this:

NYT should have gone bust in 2009, if not for Obama and Carlos Slim. Obama’s bailouts and the Obama-phone program – putting about $1.6 billion per year of taxpayer funds into Carlos Slim’s pocket.

In turn, Carlos Slim and family became the largest share holders of, and saved, the NYT. Slim’s not American, I’m not even sure he’s Mexican – I think his origin is the Middle East.

So Comey went to the NYT for a photo-op, not with NYT, but another firm in the building, Covington and Burling – for charity – of course. Nice!

Except Covington & Burling is the epicenter of leftist Trump resistance. Eric Holder worked for them before becoming AG, and works again for them now. Lots of smoke around this relationship while Holder occupied the AG office, by the way.

It gets better. Holder is on contract, via C&B, with the State of California – to fight the Trump administration. You got that right, the California taxpayers are paying C&B’ Eric Holder to try to stop Trump’s agenda – according to Judicial Watch.

And Comey appears to be the go-fer between the deep state and these private interests, to try to bring down the government.

    Et tu, Brute?

“In turn, Carlos Slim and family became the largest share holders of, and saved, the NYT. Slim’s not American, I’m not even sure he’s Mexican – I think his origin is the Middle East.”

Slim is a very clever fellow.

Had he offered to buy outright controlling ownership of the NYT in 2009/2010, there would have been ructions in the industry – with lots of very negative publicity – the NYT being considered the ‘Jewel in the Crown’ of the American newspaper industry. He would have had a fight on his hands.

Instead here is what he did: he put forward a $250 million loan – that has since been paid back. But – attached to that loan were warrants – which he exercised in 2014, I believe.

By exercising these warrants he became the controlling owner of the American ‘Jewel in the Crown’ completely under the radar, without scrutiny and without any exposure. A done deal – ‘fait accompli’ if you will.

Now when you see the New York Times – instead think of it as the New York Slim or NYS – with origins of Mexico/Middle East – because that is what you are getting. The old NYT is long long gone.

I don’t know if anyone has written about this – but this whole sequence of events and connections (specifically Fusion GPS) has all the hallmarks of an FBI sting operation aimed at the entire Trump campaign …

Something for which the FBI is infamous – has the Trump campaign considered this?

“Ukrainian government officials tried to help Hillary Clinton and undermine Trump by publicly questioning his fitness for office. They also disseminated documents implicating a top Trump aide in corruption and suggested they were investigating the matter, only to back away after the election. And they helped Clinton’s allies research damaging information on Trump and his advisers, a Politico investigation found.”

The Logan Act is probably unconstitutional. Never prosecuted – In 1798, amid tensions between the U.S. and France, President Adams sent three envoys to France to negotiate. Negotiations were unsuccessful. Dr. George Logan of Pennsylvania, a state legislator and pacifist, in 1798 engaged in negotiations with France as a private citizen during the Quasi-War.[2][3]

The Logan Act was basically a response to an effort by a Philadelphia Quaker named George Logan to try to negotiate directly with the French government. This was a big scandal at the time in foreign affairs because Logan—a Democratic-Republican—was trying to thwart the policy of the Federalists, who controlled both houses of Congress and the White House.

Kevin Kearney, writing in the Emory Law Journal, described Dr. Logan’s activities in France:

Upon his arrival in Paris, he met with various French officials, including Talleyrand. During these meetings, he identified himself as a private citizen, discussed matters of general interest to the French, and told his audience that anti-French sentiment was prevalent in the United States. Logan’s conversation with Merlin de Douai, who occupied the highest political office in the French republic, was typical. Logan stated that he did not intend to explain the American government’s position, nor to criticize that of France. Instead, he suggested ways in which France could improve relations with the United States, to the benefit of both countries. He also told Merlin that pro-British propagandists in the United States were portraying the French as corrupt and anxious for war, and were stating that any friend of French principles necessarily was an enemy of the United States. Within days of Logan’s last meeting, the French took steps to relieve the tensions between the two nations; they lifted the trade embargo then in place, and released American seamen held captive in French jails. Even so, it seems that Logan’s actions were not the primary cause of the Directory’s actions; instead, Logan had merely provided convenient timing for the implementation of a decision that had already been made.[5]

Despite the apparent success of Logan’s mission, his activities aroused the opposition of the Federalist Party in Congress, who were resentful of the praise showered on Logan by oppositional Democratic-Republican newspapers. Secretary of State Timothy Pickering, also of Pennsylvania, responded by suggesting that Congress “act to curb the temerity and impudence of individuals affecting to interfere in public affairs between France and the United States.” The result was that Rep. Roger Griswold introduced the Logan Act.[6] It was pushed through by the Federalist majority in Congress by votes of 58–36 in the House, and 18–2 in the Senate.[5]

The XYZ Affair – in essence the French demanded large sums of money as loans and bribes to which the American delegation refused – almost triggering a war between the two countries.

Unknown to the American delegation, this was, in fact, common practice in France. Nonetheless no monies were ever paid.

Shocking!! A Fox News guest, a Tucker Carlson bowtied wannabe, comes to the defense of Little Donnie. Ok.. nothing to see here..move on.

Does he have any comments on this..

Just a coincidence I’m sure because the Prez had no knowledge of Little Donnie’s meeting, even though Manafort and Kushner attended.

Good reason why Little Donnie hired a mob lawyer.
