Separately, regarding the “intelligence failure” that brought us the Iraq debacle which you mentioned. It was a failure of leadership in the intel community to stand up to a pre-scripted narrative. Patriotic Americans on the ground knew there were no WMD in Iraq – – indeed …our chief weapons inspector reported exactly that. The treason of the Iraq War lies with lying intel leaders, cowardly politicians, and idiot voters who don’t give a shit.
….but, ultimately, you do know that all the actors you just mentioned get their marching orders from elsewhere. There was no “failure of leadership in intel community”…they executed a plan that was handed to them. It was well known in advance, for example, the US will invade Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Iran..etc. If it had to be under false pretenses than so be it..9/11..
