Good Morning: Cryptocurrencies Are Crashing Now; It Was Fun While It Lasted

The very fabric of the digital cryptocurrency world is falling to pieces this morning — led lower by a staggering 13% drop in Ethereum. Other unsavory currencies, such as “Anarchist Prime” are getting boondoggled to the tune of -97%.

While gains in the crypto world might’ve been stupendous, they weren’t for the latest wave of buyers — which probably invested the most money ever into this burgeoning market place. That’s how tops work. The very last people invest the most and lose the most.

Even with today’s drop, the overall market cap of the 700+ currencies is still more than $100 billion.

What?! I thought bitcoin was going to be $10million/coin by Christmas & that I should be investing my life saving into the soonest available ICO (initial coin offering)

It’s a little too early to declare BItcoin dead. Many others have made that declaration only to get a poached egg facial. Some day, the coroner will declare the patient dead but I don’t think we’re near that point.

My shoe shine guy has yet to tell me he’s got a hot tip on a crypto.

I hadn’t heard of that until now but perhaps that will be tossed out with the garbage. If not now, it will someday.

In searching the 919 coins listed on coinmarketcap.com, I just found my favorite at number 855.

Get your mind out of the gutter…I love Virginia this time of the year.

I’m sure this is nothing more than just some organic and fundamental shake out so the cryptos can go to the moon in value from here on. Cryptos hold value and are as good and stable as phyz gold. /sarc

The blockchain is coming – I know a company that is working with Central Banks on this as we speak. Right now it’s the wild west, but in 4 or 5 years it’s going to be the standard. And you will like it.

There should be little doubt that the crypto bubble will implode but it may not happen until BTC is much higher.

      Who the fuck knows?

There may be 200,000 different coins by then and maybe only a few survive.

I’m guessing because like you, I have no clue.
