According to reports, republicans met to practice for a 100 year old traditional baseball game between house republicans and democrats was shot up by a man, injuring at least 4.
House Majority Whip Scalise wass shot in the hip and is expecting to recover. If it wasn’t for his 24 hr detail, there would have been multiple deaths at the hands of this deranged man.
The shooter was injured and is in the hospital.
No word on the motives thus far.

I knew something happened when I saw the following headline on CNN, WAPO, and NY Times, “Gun toting Trump Supporters shoot Baseball fan watching game.”
This is where all the hate, overblown rhetoric and political theater goes. I am concerned that it will get much worse. The political and social leaders that could stop it remain silent ot stir the pot.
agreed. this is what 24/7 consumption of hate spewing political media sources do. It eventually brainwashes people and stirs up anger to the point of a blow up.

In a country with more guns than people, where the top 1% control 89% of the national wealth and the two major political parties have been at each others throats for the better part of 20 years, what could possibly go wrong?

the sick part is reading the left side’s rationalization of the matter. I’m reading stuff about how they’re just normal guys. Laughing at how republicans don’t care about gun control when other mass shootings happen and that they somehow “deserve” today’s event. It’s really disgusting. The real issue is that we now have citizens who feel brazen enough to assassinate high ranking government officials. Tough to keep stability in that kind of environment.
It’s just as easy to paint the right with a broad brush as it is the left.

In an ideal and perfect world, politicians and public servants that do not carry out the wishes of the people (extra Bain) should be shot in public and expediently replaced by individuals that can fulfill voters mandates. This should be a daily routine and the people (voice of Bain) should read about it in the morning while sipping on their breakfast cup of coffee.
