It’s a real nice rally. I’m proud of all you heading into the burning house for the sake of capitalism. Personally, I’d like to see the entire house burn down.
But this isn’t about my feelings, and certainly not yours.
As an asset class, in spite of today’s tremendous rally, both gold and bonds outperformed stocks for the second straight week. Ergo, and this goes without saying, the correct call here is to buy more.
If stocks continue higher next week, I will correct my allocation. But for now, and this isn’t up for debate, risk off assets are the better performing asset classes.

I will be the first to coin the phrase Sell the fucking pop. STFP.
Fly you are in a truly sad state.

Lol, when Fly goes all in: “YOURE TOO EMOTIONAL”
When Fly trades rationally: “YOU LOST YOUR BALLS”
Go back under your piker bridges, you trolls.
They’re beta males who don’t know how to lead.
All they want is for you to confirm their positions. When you don’t, they combust.

Can we prepare a recession portfolio in Exodus? I like to plan ahead and be prepared (extra Eagle Scout).
I don’t think we’re heading for recession yet
Maybe we haven’t got out of recession yet with all the fabricated, fake and phony economic stats (unemployment, inflation, growth, etc.) published by our so honest and unbiased economists who do not hesitate to move the goal post whenever a desired outcome is politically required.
I am thinking the concept of boiling a frog…now that we got used to present conditions we lost our reference point that would peg this as recession judging by 2005 metrics.
A frog jumps out of slowly warming water. Frogs are much smarter than Trump voters.

I used it in the context of metaphor, not as a scientific fact….needless to say, it is a possibility. From same link:
In “On the Variation of Reflex Excitability in the Frog induced by changes of Temperature” (1882) William Thompson Sedgwick writes: “in one experiment by Scripture the temperature was raised at a rate of 0.002°C per second, and the frog was found dead at the end of 2½ hours without having moved.”
I saw a frog eaten by a Venus flytrap. No, they’re not real smart if a plant can eat them.
Fly,
What do you think of going long volatility? Too aggressive yet?
The owl returns.
