The Trump administration is directing its ire at true menace of North America, Canada. As the border wall issues looms and trade deals with China scuttled, Trump has taken to slapping around Canada — all in the name of a few Wisconsin dairy farmers who’ve been victimized by the great sodom of the North.
Yesterday it was announced that the United States was applying 20% tariffs to softwood lumber, retroactively, which is used in the construction of homes.
Commerce Secretary, Wilbur Ross said, “We tried to negotiate a settlement but we were unable.”
Indeud.
Now this morning, out of left field, Trump is talking BIG dairy again, saying “we will not stand for this,” an obvious warning across the bow of our loyalist friends to the north.
Canada has made business for our dairy farmers in Wisconsin and other border states very difficult. We will not stand for this. Watch!

Given the problems Trump is having with the Southern Border wall funding, perhaps he should switch to a Northern Wall? No one could accuse him of racism, as Canada is largely white. Also, there isn’t any cheap labor to be taken advantage of from cesspools, such as Toronto. Ergo, by erecting a norther wall, we could save the great dairy industry of Wisconsin once and for all.

Nothing like appeasing a few dairy farmers and the logging lobby while the rest of americans ends up paying 20% more for the end product. Great deal. Winning by losing.
absolutely agree, everyone will end up paying more, in the end no one wins
The dairy industry’s biggest problem is of their own making. The farmers are too damn good at what they do. Efficiency, feed conversion, pounds of milk per cow, butterfat content…all of these go up every year and the crazy folks in Muck boots and shit splattered Levi’s seem to think the answer is adding MOAR COWS!
So they do.
Average herd size in our county a couple decades ago was about 260 milking with another 50% on top of that as young cattle or dried up/non lactating.
Now the average herd size is well over 1,000 animals.
And they wonder why class A milk is $14.30/100#…
Even the dairy industry is in a race to the bottom. The farmers are Amazoning themselves, importing cheap labor first from Central America and now beginning to use robots for menial and repetitive tasks.
There is a mega dairy farm nearby that has managed to contaminate 1/3 of their entire county’s well water. Can you imagine that, if your means of obtaining safe drinking water was taken from your home and nobody does a damn thing about it because the farm brings in too much money?
The farmers are best buds with the government. You want to talk about handouts – obummer phones are nothing compared to farmers.
Trump couldn’t care less about the end-user. He’s just helping his corporate buddies. 100 bucks he’s still importing Chinese steel for his buildings. Such a two-faced douche. But you elected him. Warned you but all I heard was bullshit.
100 bucks is a big wager. Hi confidence there.
Canadian wood is too soft anyway
Build a wall already. We will pay for it.
Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal are paradise compared to Princeton New Jersey.
Meanwhile, how can you guys keep rationalizing such hypocrisy?

Obviously, you’ve never been to Princeton.
Let’s build a wall between US and Canad using the surplus cheese the US buys every year to artificially prop up American dairy farmers. A big beautiful wall of cheese.
Yes, yes wall of cheese. It will take them forever to eat their way through it. No smoked Gouda. To tasty.
So much for the best negotiator ever.
