What is her endgame here? First it was Cameron who tied his fate to BREXIT, now her. By calling for early elections, slated for June 8th, 2017, essentially, she’s calling for another BREXIT vote. For the love of God, she just took office and isn’t due to elections until 2020.
Just before the Easter break, May said she wouldn’t call for early elections. But now she’s changed her mind, apparently.

“There should be unity here in Westminster but instead there is division,” she said in a statement outside her Downing Street residence on Tuesday. “The country is coming together but Westminster is not.” A rift in Parliament will damage the government’s ability to make a success of Brexit, she said.
According to recent polling, her conservatard party is a solid 20 points ahead of Jeremy Corbyn’s libtard labour. If she wins, she will successfully humiliate her political foes and relegate them to persona non grata status for the remainder of her term. She’d have a firm mandate to push BREXIT negotiations through, regardless of what her critiques say in parliament.
“Tomorrow I will move a motion in the House of Commons calling for a general election to be held on the 8th of June,” said May. If it passes, parliament will be dissolved by May 3rd.

Tim Farron, liberal democrat leader supports this move, but for different reasons.
“If you want to avoid a disastrous hard Brexit, if you want to keep Britain in the single market, if you want a Britain that is open, tolerant and united, this is your chance.”
Scotland’s Nicola Stugeon says May is simply trying to ‘crush the voices of people who disagree with her,’ using evil democracy to do it.

In spite of the polling data, the market is viewing this as an opportunity to undermine BREXIT. The pound is soaring by 1.2% on this news.

May’s hidden agenda is not that secret. The establishment got under her skin and will push for reversal.
COT is needs to be resolved in gbp
China needs to cool the printing. Copper headed down.
I don’t think it will pass this time. The globalists will be out on the streets with bullhorns proselytizing the hoi polloi until the next referendum. The wild card is another terror attack close to the vote of course.
It’s all faintly ridiculous. We’ll have another vote to see R U SURE?
Either way, Britain sent a strong statement to the EU that they’re tired of the bullshit, and to get their act together.
I don’t think there is an act to get together there. The EU was poorly thought out. In an international organization, the agreements need to overall benefit each nation more than they harm that nation. Unless the EU totally changes the nature of the agreements, that isn’t going to happen for every nation in there. As a result, some nations will leave, causing additional disorganization.
