Report: USS Nimitz, USS Reagan to Join USS Vinson in N. Korean Standoff

The USS Reagan is permanently stationed in Japan, so linking up with the Vinson only makes sense. But the Nimitz is based out of San Diego, part of the carrier strike group 11, which has been out of commission for servicing since 2013. If the reports are correct, suggesting the Nimitz will join both the Vinson and Reagan, there’s a good chance N. Korea might get to enjoy some of our most recent armaments.

N. Korea’s state run Rodong Shinmun lamented over the massing of US military assets in the area as a “step for a pre-emptive attack”. Trying to describe the USS Vinson, the morons at the Shinmun called it a ‘gigantic mutant animal.’

The Vinson will arrive in the N. Korean theatre on April 25th.

Time to go to war. This can only be described as bullish for everything.

I’m still saying the real build up is being carried out in the Mideast and North Korea is a smoke screen.
A young guy from our area is shipping out for Kuwait this Friday. He’s a state conservation officer, has a gorgeous wife and 3 kids… and he flies Blackhawks.
He told me this buildup has been in the works since late summer last year. The election held it up a bit but orders have now been reinstated for everything to move.

Umm, he should not be telling anyone what his orders are. As a pilot and therefore a commissioned officer, he knows that is a court martial offense. And if, for whatever reason he felt he could trust you, he fucked up. Loose lips sink ships.

He did not tell me what his specific orders were. Only that lot’s of men and material were moving to the mid east again.
…and no one is happy about it.

DPRK had a nice run. Nice buffer territory for China while they slowly came around to embrace the outside world. Brave new steps.

I got my tin-foil conspiracy hat on and betting that all this war-mongering is to distract from some 2007 style Lehman/Baer Stearns financial fiasco next on deck. Junk away, it’s Easter Monday.

Noe one is going to dare tell Kim Jung lol that he can’t succeed in taking on the US, China, and South Korea, that the missiles aren’t ready, that the US is substantially more powerful and that an invasion of South Korea will fail in fear that he will shoot the messanger and the immediate perceived danger their lives for going against him. Hopefully the MOAB taking out ISIS underground infrastructure and killing a few dozen members of ISIS will simultaneously be a warning to lil kim. Hopefully the failed missile tests combined with the ability of the US to take things out underground and take out a square mile will put enough fear in him to knock some sense into him.

Meanwhile Trump has almost no room for error to avoid conflict, but perhaps a little bit bit after 2 failed missile launches.

Homes on the West Coast will soon be selling at a discount.

No idea what the answer is for Fat Boy, other than China doing something rash. This game of warship is for that purpose. But just hope Fat Boy doesn’t do something stupid and give Trump an excuse to play with his shiny missiles and fighter planes.

    What would Jared do?

    Hi Fly,

You might want to check your sources. The Nimitz is currently just off the coast of Southern California. It might be on it’s way to Korea but it’s gonna take a while. The Reagan is currently in port in Japan but it is in Selected Restricted Availability mode for another month.

The SNL skits surrounding the Trump administration were not that funny. I believe it was mean spirited, I wanted to laugh but just didn’t do it for me.

The U.S. Seventh Fleet, which has prime responsibility for protection of Korea, consists of 60+ ships and 300 aircraft. Adding two more carriers to the region will add another 180 aircraft. This does not include a few hundred F-16s and bombers based in Japan and S. Korea. It also does not include stealth B2 bombers that could reach Korea from N. America. N. Korea fields 900 aircraft inferior to U.S.

Similar to Iraq setup except bigger scale and N. Korea has massive artillery and missiles pointed at S. Korea. Those would need to be taken out early. And deep cave installations. And unlike Iraq, N. Korea actually has weapons of mass destruction. There’s that.

‘era of strategic patience is over.’

How does talking to a nuclear armed country like you’re a mother talking to a a three-year-old help? Yeah, Pence, like Trump, may make Bill Kristol wet and he may win favors in our sociopath MSM and with the zombies who absorb what they are told by the media — but it does not good in any effort to get pajama boy to back down without armed conflict.

If you want peace, you only threaten your adversary behind closed doors and you quietly carry a big stick.

If you only care about scoring political points and the adoration of chicken hawks, keep doing what you’re doing Trump and crew.

Pretty obvious whats going on , Trump ,when he saw the weekend footage from the rally in Pyongyang, where thousands of goose-stepping soldiers gazed adoringly up at Kim while his phallic missiles were paraded, you can imagine the penis envy.
