Trump made a mistake. He should’ve had the acumen to see his presidency as a hostile corporate takeover – and fire ruthlessly all left leaning bureaucrats and 1/3 of their staff to put everybody on notice that he means business. Trump failed and it will bite him in the ass.
The argument isn’t hard to follow. If you are creating Senior positions not because there is a need for them but so that people in the organization have somewhere to advance to, structurally that will be counterproductive. I have seen that to be true in Corporate America with my own eyes. Layers upon layers of management exist simply to give people somewhere to go or justify their existence (or allow other people to take the fall when TSHTF). Does nothing for the company. There’s a compelling case for lean organizations.
