In other words, she’s going to permit you to remove your children from failing schools, who place indoctrination ahead of education, and instead send them to private schools. The Department of Education is where the left plots their future, brainwashing the children with identity politics. Giving parents the option to remove their children from the matrix is a grave and unimaginable threat to their future.

I recently consulted on a project at D.ed. Blind college students couldn’t access their loan paperwork. The kicker is, the FSA 508 coordinator is blind himself. An 80 year old fossil who was personally hired by LBJ and fancied himself an IT expert because knew how to turn the computer on.

You’re clueless. Did you watch the confirmation hearings? She didn’t know the difference between student growth and proficiency. Shit even I know that as a parent. Her charter school efforts in Michigan were an unmitigated disaster. Kids are NOT eligible to attend private schools – a select few will be able to attend public charter schools, which draw money out of other public schools and hurt more kids than they help. In some places, charters succeed and at least help the few that get to attend them nut still leaves most kids in schools with less funding than before because the state has to funnel the money into the charters. But her charters in Michigan couldn’t even do that – everyone lost. She bought the position with donations and it woefully unqualified. Do your homework people.

Each student receives a voucher worth … say $8,500, or $10,000 or whatever the national average is.
The parents or guardians of said student are free to pick what school their children attend. Period
The Federsl government should Establish a core curriculum of history, math, science, life skills, reading and languages … and then get the heck out of the way.
The chaff will quickly be driven before this hurricane of parental empowerment and things will sort out soon enough.

Our teachers do a decent job but the union mentality raided the money and in the cities the school districts are so corrupt, look at all the SE MI school officials sitting in prison.
The whisper number on teacher pensions after the Granholm years was they were only 20% funded. That’s part from the recession but majority is because Granholms admin assumed something stupid like 10% annual fund grown and then dropped the teacher pension withholding by 33%.
