Have to disagree re Oslo accords. Those were not a UN resolution, and they were implemented. Arafat and his band of pedophile terrorists were indeed imported into Biblical land from Tunisia, they (the PLO, today run by Abbas and renamed as P Authority) were given various levels of control/sovereignty of different areas. Area a, B, C, D. That’s all oslo accord stuff. I would argue the reason “occupation” (meaning, the presence of Israeli military in ostensibly disputed territories where they gave terrorist partial or full possession) can NOT end is because of this Oslo importation of terror. Had it never happened who knows what those areas could be like today. Instead, they are a terror infestation and the military presence prevents many terrorist attacks. It is simply not true that Oslo never got implemented. The process began and stalled and continued many times over many years. It’s a disaster and prevents peace.

Ferd, I am very concerned for nineteen year old soldiers myself, on all sides of all conflicts. Palestine vs. Israel is to me just one more issue where the U.S. would be better off not taking sides. That’s what Obama did. He didn’t take sides. Good for him.
I would not mind if we took sides in a peaceful way e.g. if we gave Nebraska or somewhere to the Jews as their homeland, to get them out of the conflict area, as long as it was okay with Americans and Nebraskans to do that.
