I agree it is wrong to categorically judge and condemn on the basis of differing opinions. It makes for lively conversation though and who doesn’t enjoy coming out on top of a verbal sparring match. As you quoted though, the Bible admonishes all of us to resist judging, in the condemnatory sense, as all of us fail miserably at one point or another, redering us not better than those we judge.
As Jesus said to the Pharisees about to stone the adulterous woman. “Let him who is without sin cast the first stone”.
Discernment however is a different thing. It is the ability to make a determination between conflicting factors and reach a decision. Discernment always starts with knowledge and a system of facts and beliefs which one bases their decision/judgment upon. The verbal conflict seen in every sphere of human communication these days, indicates belief systems, rules and laws that people live by, are becoming more and more varied.
Much has been said and written about absolute truth, or the absence thereof, and whether such a thing exists in the first place. Kind of like the arguments globalists make for a borderless world…But I’m wandering from my initial thought..
There is only one Judge ultimately, whom I believe, all of us will see when we depart this world or dimension or illusion as what’s his face … the pop scientist Neil guy.. called it.
