Anytime people have to announce to you that they are going to tell you something before they deny it they usually are lying. I believe the technical term is a qualifying statement.
“Since I play straight up, I’ll give it to you straight up…” prior to the denial is a good example.
Very similar format as “I want to say this to America, I want you to listen to me… I did not have sexual relations with that woman”.

Her use of “CNN” is avoiding using a person. Networks don’t email, people do… she’s bending the truth to reduce discomfort. Her “let’s just be very clear” was out of order (means nervous), and let’s be clear (rather than let ME be clear) is “distancing language” (common in deception)
The discomfort trying to smile, her constant deflecting, framing herself as the victims, her constant stuttering, blaming the messenger rather than the message… the inconsistency of not keeping the story straight or the context straight was so bad my head hurt.
