Germany to Warn its Citizens to Stockpile Food and Water for the First Time Since the Cold War

The Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung newspaper reported on Sunday that German officials are set to advise its people to stockpile 5 days of water and 10 days of food. Naturally, it must be due to the right wing threat of nazi boot wearing Iranians rampaging throughout Bavaria.

“The population will be obliged to hold an individual supply of food for ten days,” the newspaper quoted the government’s “Concept for Civil Defence” – which has been prepared by the Interior Ministry – as saying.

A spokesman for the Interior Ministry said the plan would be discussed by the cabinet on Wednesday and presented by the minister that afternoon. He declined to give any details on the content.

People will be required to stockpile enough drinking water to last for five days, according to the plan, the paper said.

The 69-page report does not see an attack on Germany’s territory, which would require a conventional style of national defense, as likely.

However, the precautionary measures demand that people “prepare appropriately for a development that could threaten our existence and cannot be categorically ruled out in the future,” the paper cited the report as saying.

Germany’s Defence Minister said earlier this month the country lay in the “crosshairs of terrorism” and pressed for plans for the military to train more closely with police in preparing for potential large-scale militant attacks.

One has to ask oneself: what sort of fuckery is this? The German government is asking its citizens to stockpile 5 days worth of water without a valid reason? There isn’t a credible threat or looming war, so why make such a drastic request?

Time will tell.

I think it would be psychological, rather than a credible threat. German government would be seeking to make the German population more receptive to something they would otherwise oppose.

Trump came out with the comments Wednesday during a campaign stop in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. “ISIS is honoring President Obama. He is the founder of ISIS, he is the founder of ISIS, OK? He’s the founder,” Trump said, adding that Hillary Clinton was the “co-founder.

Hot spots everywhere. Putin building troops up again on the Ukraine border. NATO also building up in Poland. Syria is suddenly back in the news daily. Yemen wants Russia at its air bases. Turkey could have problems. China in the South China Sea. Not to mention the obvious uptick in classic cold war propaganda from both sides. America and Russia. Europe imploding due to the refugee crisis. It is hot out there.

They saw the bump in the polls from a guy who didn’t even know Russia had already entered the Ukraine. At first they thought it was a joke, or some sort of reality tv show. Now they’re realizing it’s a possibility. They’re concerned more Americans might move there, and they understand how much we like to eat.

I’m quite content living here in the great old US of A. I’ve lived in some other countries, and wouldn’t chose another over home. It’s actually a fantastic place to live, when you don’t spend your days and nights searching the Internet for fear porn.

It is a nice place to live but there are a lot of people living here that are just plain ignorant; that seems to be a common human trait. The US doesn’t seem to have cornered that market yet..but they are trying.
