Germany’s 4th Reich: Vice Chancellor Gabriel Wants to Offer German Citizenship to Disaffected British

These people are so delusional, so narcissistic, they are unable to accept the views of anyone else without casting aspersions.

The vice chancellor of Germany, Sigmar Gabriel, wants to offer young Britons citizenship, wildly claiming that they shouldn’t be punished by the ‘strange political elite’ in England.

I’m sorry, but wasn’t there a public referendum that was just widely in favor of exiting the EU? That’s called democratic choice, not something thrusted upon people by a so called ‘strange elite.’

Hailing from a nation who once rained bombs over residential areas of London, Vice Chancellor Sigmar believes the young Britons who voted for remain would rather be European than British, because the world is changing and they want a Europe ruled by the Bundesbank.

“They wanted to stay in Europe because they know the world is changing” and the U.K. can’t go it alone, Gabriel said in a speech to a Social Democratic Party conference in Berlin on Saturday. “So it’s a good sign that young people in Britain are smarter than their strange political elite.”

“Let us also offer it to young Britons who live in Germany, France or Italy, so they can stay EU citizens in this country,” said Gabriel, who heads the SPD, the junior partner in German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s coalition.

Unfuckingbelievable. These people are dangerous.

So perhaps Fly, you have gone over the age of 40. I remember a few years ago you had opinions about those people. From what I’ve read it is the old people in england that are for exit and the young people for the EU. Kind of like the US’s Sanders supporters are young and hopeful; hopeful that the old limp dickhead politicians will die and take their entitled friends with them.

      You heard….

You have those voices in your head again?

I believe you might be correct. It might not happen, but that is not because that people changed there mind.

It is because tyranny is real. Hence the reason we have the 2nd amendment.

I don’t own a gun , my never own one. However it is a freedom we have to protect all of us from this tyranny. It’s not an amendment for hunting. That is a lie.

I thought Germany was offering to do this so the people involved wouldn’t be forced by Brexit to go back to the UK? Doesn’t necessarily seem narcissistic.

Same way as lots of citizens of other European nations that are working in the UK are now facing the possibility of being expelled (eventually and unless some other arrangement is made.)

I am not a fan of the way Germany has bullied around the other EU nations, but that doesn’t mean everything they do is wrong.

Majority rule is fine by me, but that doesn’t mean the majority is right. For instance, if you held a vote on climate change, 70 percent would deny it exists, and I’d prefer to accept the 99 percent of climatologists’ opinion on the matter.

They are offering citizenships out of political correctness. What they are really trying to do is spread globalist ideology to those that can be molded. Notice they are not interested in offering citizenships to old people.

I’m beginning to come to grips with the fact that there can be no economic union exclusive of a political one.

This is what the immigration is about. Has nothing to do with color.

EU tells the UK who they can let in and who they can’t.
EU dictates that UK must except any European who shows up. You understand this?

Thinking it’s a good idea for young Britons to have the option of joining the EU voluntarily if they choose to do so, doesn’t make a person a Devil. And it doesn’t even mean that Sia is against Brexit. He hasn’t even mentioned whether or not he thinks the EU should exist or whether Britain would be better off staying the EU.

As Goebbels said “Say something once and it’s a lie. Say something twice and it’s a lie. Say it 1000X and it’s an eternal truth. ” Rupert Murdoch, Clear Channel Radio and the other Right Wing media outlets have said that man made global climate change is a hoax many more times that 1000X. So to most people, it seems true.

Right Wing propaganda is so effective that we have 2 GOP dominated Houses of Congress, and most governors and state legislatures are GOP dominated. And yet people hate government and are convinced that they should cast their votes against the establishment— How?– by voting for the party that already controls almost everything, LOL. You can’t ask for more effective propaganda than that.

Certain Left Wingers may be mistaken when they say that the Brexit vote was racist. But if there is any such thing as liberal propaganda, it surely is tiny and ineffective, because the Right Wing controls almost everything– all the while, whining about how the “mainstream media” is liberal biased.

If no one here is Right Wing, why do most people here who comment about politics, put down and insult liberals in a large percentage of their comments? So you’re not conservative or Right Wing? But you just hate and insult liberals constantly?

Frog, people are taking their time to stand against you because most of the things you write and say are both untrue and dangerous. If we were to embrace your insane progressive ideas, it would be the death of us as a people and a culture in a generation. This is ultimately the problem the difference between liberals and conservatives, liberals don’t think beyond themselves and don’t consider the future. Keynes was famous for saying “In the long run, we are all dead,” which I think captures the liberals attitude about life perfectly.

On the climate change issue, clearly their has been massive fraud coming out of the scientific community with respect to the data on Anthropogenic Global Warming. Most glaringly was this issue of Dr. Mann fake hockey stick temperature graph.

Here is the hilarious Mark Steyn on the issue:

Your feathers get fluffed up so easily, Fly.

There are over two million UK citizens who reside in other EU countries. Some 700,000+ of those UK citizens weren’t even allowed to vote in the referendum. Almost all of those two million will be losing their EU citizenship when the UK withdraws as a member. Two million will be losing the employment, movement, and residency rights they currently enjoy.

To regain EU citizenship after UK withdrawal would ordinarily require the long process of obtaining citizenship in another EU member country. Gabriel is suggesting that Germany create a quick process to German citizenship so that Britons who want to retain EU citizenship will be able to do so.

Of course he does. American Right Wing propaganda is the most advanced and effective propaganda on earth. Rupert Murdoch makes Goebbels look like a piker, by comparison.

And the most effective way of propagandizing people is to make them “run hot”– get them so angry or scared or otherwise emotional that they can’t think clearly. It works. And it works just as well on intelligent people as it does on dumb people. IF you make someone emotional enough, they can’t think straight, no matter how high their IQ is.

I had a distant relative– an in-law of an in-law, whose widow is convinced that he died of Fox News. He watched it constantly and got all worked up from it, with his blood pressure way up. One day while ranting and raving, he just keeled over from a heart attack.

I believe that Brexit was the best thing for Britain. And I also believe that it is a generous offer by Sigmar Gabriel to offer young Britons citizenship. Because if they are living and working in Europe and want to stay, this will save them a lot of time, hassle and paperwork.

The global warming denial makes me sad, because you are dancing to somebody else’s tune when you do that. You don’t look good with strings attached to your limbs.

My commentary on this post was mostly to point out that there are a couple million Britons residing in the US, some for many years, who could have their lives severely disrupted by the UK withdrawal. It seemed to me that a German politician could propose to help them out without having the aim of, well, whatever evil it was you were accusing him of. To survive, the EU will be hard on the UK, certainly, but the German-citizenship proposal would also do some real good for people, if Germany decided to make it real.

Your ark and gold call was magnificent. That’s the kind of work you do when you use data and your experience and some hard thought. When you don’t combine those three things (or at least two of them), I end up looking smug and condescending to you.

lets start with the fact that I will never convince you to change your mind about how the world works and you will never convince me that your version of the world, wrought with ideals that seem nice on paper but don’t actually work in reality, then I can only deduce you’re being an agitator. Having gone through these mindless debates for years, I am keen to your way of thinking and know that the facade that you carry here, as this gentle man just trying to help others understand how the world truly works, backed up with news links written by people that agree with your train of thought, is no more benign and benevolent than a Hillary Clinton email server.

Let’s not pretend that we’re having a debate here and just stop with the pettiness. We both like to breathe air and laugh and have fun. But that’s all we can probably agree upon.

lets start with the fact that I will never convince you to change your mind about how the world works

You change my mind any time you teach me something, but that requires good data and good insight. So, I learn (change my mind) when you are talking about investment and finance, etc. When you raise the spectre of Nazi Germany, because Sigmar Gabriel wants to use EU citizenship to snag some productive Britons, I’m not impressed. When you imply that scientists find evidence of anthropogenic climate change because the government bribes them to do so, you are teaching me that you don’t know what motivates scientists, that you don’t understand the funding process, and that you have some crazy ideas about the government’s ability to act with one mind. I have long personal experience in the area, as you do in investment and finance. Like you, I will have both biases and deep knowledge about how the world works in the areas where I have experience.

you will never convince me that your version of the world, wrought with ideals that seem nice on paper but don’t actually work in reality

I’m not sure you’ve really paid attention to what I’ve posted. That’s forgivable — you don’t owe me any of your time — but it leaves you in the wrong. I start with the data, the reality. When someone comments that immigration has become a problem, because we are getting too many immigrants too fast for assimilation, I look up the numbers. The numbers guide whether or not I comment and what I have to say.

And I’m not an “ideals” guy. I want good policies — ones that have the desired positive impact at reasonable cost in terms of dollars and side effects. Ideology can inspire ideas and approaches that improve policy, but ideology itself is poor policy and rigid ideology is really bad policy. Good policy absolutely must be shaped by contact with reality.

I will continue to post as long as you allow it, and I will continue to follow your “politics only in politics posts” rule while I am here. React as you will. Make of my motives what you will.
