Santelli probably does think he is the “destroyer of central banks, arc antagonist of the elite.” He’s not. He’s just one more CNBC reporter who gets most things wrong.

Central banks may be a problem. But the fact that Congress wouldn’t pass enough stimulus for the economy to recover well– even when we badly need infrastructure repair, and doing it would give people much needed jobs– this is worse than anything central banks have been doing. Central banks in the U.S., when they were doing QE, were trying to make up for Congress doing almost nothing to help the recovery.
