Trump’s Speech Regarding the Terrorist Attack in Orlando and His Policy Suggestions

Essentially, we have an Islamic extremism problem, not a good problem. This is a powerful speech, which will be reviled by many who walk around with acute mental ailments.

So the Republican Party through its nominee is gloating about how the deaths of 49 people are making them look good.

    The Republican record:
Invaded a sovereign nation unleashing a wave of terrorism that is sweeping the world.
    Caused an epic economic collapse.
Ensured that the USA will be crushed by debt because of their moronic tax cuts.
Ensured that terrorists and the mentally ill can buy the weapons they need to commit their crimes..

I love how people blame an economic collaspe on one party but fail to realize the recession started under Clinton, he caught the economic cycle just right when he was elected in ’92 rode it into a second term and it left office a year into a recession. Yet it’s one parties fault.

What myopic BS. They all suck, they only care about their own power and wealth.

We do have a dysfunctional immigration system. And Marco Rubio put forth a plan to reform our immigration so that the system makes more sense. And his fellow GOP Congress members tarred and feathered him for it. And did not come up with an alternate plan.

There is no reason for Congress to come up with a workable immigration policy. And they probably won’t, no matter who the president is. Because they get donations from companies that want to hire illegal aliens at substandard wages. And the workers can’t do anything about it, because they’re here illegally. And the voters are so gullible, that more than 90% of Congress members are re-elected, no matter how many times Congress members screw their Constituents over.

I am all for immigration reform. But getting it through Congress would be the problem. The president is not a king. Congress makes the laws, except for a few areas that can be covered by executive order.

As for saying “radical Islam”, shall we also talk about “radical Christianity” then– every time some nut job bombs an abortion clinic or kills abortion doctors or patients?

Most Muslims are peaceful. Many many of them condemn ISIS and all terrorism. They are all over Twitter at #notinmyname and other places. Another example:

    http://www.freemuslims.org/issues/terrorism.php

This is why Obama does not say “Islamic terrorism.” Most Muslims do not think that terrorism is a part of their religion, any more than most Christians think the killing of doctors and patients and bombing of abortion clinics is part of their religion.

We need the help of moderate Muslims– people who do not think terrorism is a part of their religion, but think that their religion is simply being used by nut jobs. Just like most Christians feel about abortion doctor murderers. We need the help of moderate Muslims to win the war of ideas– to make the ideas of terrorists so unpopular– among Muslims as well as others– that terrorists can not recruit anyone any more.

Frog, this comment is BS. Islam is a scourge. Think of how woman are treated in Islamic countries. 19 women burned alive yesterday for being disobedient sex slaves. Child brides as young as 9, women kidnapped and used as sex slaves, husbands are encouraged to beat their wives into submission, and a raped woman is of stoned to death while the attackers go free, etc. This is all Sharia law. Don’t conflate Christianity with Islam.

Don’t conflate radical extremist Islam with all of Islam. There are moderate Muslims, and even liberal ones. And we insult those people if we act like Sharia Law and terrorism are necessary parts of Islam. Just like we would be insulting Christians if we were to say that we have radical Christian terrorists who bomb abortion clinics.

We need to win the war of ideas against terrorists. And to do that we need to work with the moderate Muslims in spreading peaceful ideas.

In some of those same countries, the penalty for leaving Islam is imprisonment or even death. So you have no idea what religion any terrorists or anyone else in those countries actually believes in.

It’s “Do you want to be Muslim or do you want to be dead?” Surprise. Just about everyone says “Okay I am Muslim then.” Wouldn’t you?

You know very little about this yet you write on and on. There are no Christian terrorists, that is a joke, you have no idea about Christianity.

It’s our choice whether we allow Muslims into this county. It’s a dangerous thing to do so. As soon as they are a majority or close to it then we all get to live under Sharia. Actually, Christians and Jews are not killed under Sharia, they are relegated to second class citizens and forced to pay a special tax, they have no access to the courts, and they must step aside when a Muslim male walks by, etc. People other than Christians and Jews, ie atheist, agnostics, and Hindus, etc., must make the choice either to become Muslim or die.

The 10 to 20 percent of Muslim’s who are radical are the devout ones the rest are nominal or cultural Muslims. If they give their lives trying to kill nonbelievers (ie you) and spreading islam “in jihad” then this is the only sure way to go to paradise otherwise they likely go to hell. In Christianity, the 10 percent or so of devout Christians will give their lives to save you, not to try to go to heaven, but because they know God loves you and they love God. That is part the difference between the two religions.

Islam is currently playing a numbers game and is trying to conquer the world through population and it’s working. Liberals are leading the way for them by weakening the west and refusing to recognize the danger.

      +1 with exception:
No one member of any religion has the exact same views as other members of that religion. Given that, you can’t define what a religion says or doesn’t say, anymore than you can predefine someone’s views because they are a Republican.

The world would be much better off if the most extreme 5% of every religion (including atheism…) were just vaporized: they are the ones causing the most problems. Thank God for the 1st Amendment.

Still, the facts do show that the followers of Islam religion do tend to be more conservative and less tolerant than those of most other religions in general.

Mr. Trumps’ love for the U.S. and his passion for our safety should not be disputed. He is very clear on where he stands. I do not usually put my two cents in on political issues, but this time I will. The safety of our Nation is at a crossroads. In my opinion, we need someone who understands that and is willing to fight for it.

The oddest part about this terror attack is, according to the Koran, that Muhammad himself was a cross-dressing homosexual. It makes Islamic hatred of homosexual so confusing.

It’s completely different. First think of the numbers. In the past ten years there have maybe been 5 or so instances where some crazy person invoked Christianity to harm people and there have been over 25,000 instances of Islamic terror. In Islam dying in jihad is the only sure way to heaven. What does Christianity say about enemies: love them, pray for them, feed them, and leave vengeance to God. In Islam, you kill nonbelievers and get a free pass to paradise. You don’t appear to know very much about either Christianity or Islam.

If I where a gay man, I would be more afraid of Muslims than any group. Skin heads and muggers would be better company.

Fact: in the UK, over 40 percent of Muslims believe homo sexual shit should be outlawed.

30 percent believe terrorism is ok.

25 percent think it’s ok to throw gays off roof tops.

We are talking about the ones in the west. Forget about the ones in their home land. As a few people have said already. It’s totally dangerous to be gay or a woman.

Take the penis from your ears and eyes and look at this again. These are not people you want to hold up as equals.

So then, up to 60% of Muslims in the UK may be moderate Muslims? We need to work on increasing those percentages, all over the world, in the war of ideas.

I am never going to be a Muslim. But neither am I or anyone going to be able to stop people from becoming Muslim. But if we can help increase the number of moderate Muslims in the world, that would be good.

I watch Fox and MSNB because I don’t view politics as a belief system and I’m not afraid of hearing other points of view.

Maybe you’d be happier in China or Saudi Arabia, where differing viewpoints are discouraged. Or maybe it’s that *I* would be happier if you were in China or Saudi Arabia.

In the U.S., in recent years, we have had growing intolerance of differing viewpoints, and in political tribalism. In those ways, we have become a little bit like Middle Eastern extremists.

I hope we will be able to turn that around and go in the other direction. I know we are far from being like them, but I would like to be even further away from being like them. Such ways are not enviable.

It is definitely the moderate Muslim’s burden (not the US’s) to keep the radicals in-check. Saudi Arabia needs to step it up big time.

However, we need to make moderates’ jobs easier by not giving Muslims reasons to hate us, such as by invading their countries, and by supporting and publicizing influential Muslims thta do speak up.

BTW, America IS a rather naive and egocentric culture…. With such a large (people forget only China and India are bigger) and wealthy population (We’re #1!! We’re #1!!), it is expected that we are influential, but we want to micromanage the world – and think we can.
