It’s located in the Kalorama area of DC. The House is quite cozy at 8,200 sq ft, fixed with 9 bedrooms and 8 1/2 bathrooms.

Highly unlikely that he wants the job.
After 8 yrs in the fishbowl, the Obamas will want to be able to make family the highest priority for a while.

While staying in DC is a noble move for a former president. Moving to Harlem as the Clinton’s did was much more interesting.
Obama was worth what, $10m before assuming the presidency? His wife was collecting $300k per annum at some kind of political payoff sinecure in Chicago. That anybody can overlook their corruption says a lot more about the efficacy of propaganda than it does about the suitability of such persons to run the country.
I’m not an Obama fan, but:
This house is less than 2 1/2 miles from Natasha’s school, Sidwell Friends. That’s probably a big reason why they’re staying in DC – so that Natasha can finish high school.
The house has to be large enough to accommodate Secret Service personnel that will be assigned to the Obamas after his Presidency ends. A starter home won’t work.
