In the Midwest, the index declined 0.6 percent for the month and is 2.0 percent above April 2015. Pending home sales in the South jumped 6.8 percent monthly and are 5.1 percent higher than last April. The index in the West rose 11.4 percent monthly and is now 2.8 percent above a year ago.

Don’t worry, anyone, about being surrounded by Right Wingers if you move to the South. The South is actually similar to the North politically–Blue cities, Red rural areas. It’s just that the South has more rural areas than the North does, so most Southern states end up Red overall.
If you are moderate or liberal, and moving to the South just move to a good sized city or a suburb– not to a rural area.
