How convenient for the men in 10 gallon hats to have oil disruptions in Nigeria, at the same time arson ravages the oil sands to the north, in Canada? Am I the only one out here who finds this shit suspicious?
Oil rallied hard off the lows and ‘closed’ down just 0.1% for the day, reversing much deeper losses. I love how oil closes, but then continues to trade forever, seemingly.
At any rate, our good friends from Exxom Mobile issued a statement, discussing Nigeria’s Oil Terminal. Yes, XOM is pretty much in charge.
An ExxonMobil spokesman later clarified that production was still “ongoing” at the terminal, although business was disrupted earlier on Thursday by “criminal” activity early.
So much criminal activity. The drama is almost too much to bear.
