Dr. Copper’s Prognosis is Inexorably Grim

The slide in copper, and metals as a whole, is starting to pick up in earnest.

image

Shares of the copper giant FCX are getting poleaxed, even after divesting their jungle mine in the Congo. As suspected, the market isn’t keen on the company selling too many assets at distressed prices.

Note the drop in palladium as well, which is a key tell for the automotive market. If the drop in copper is predictive in any way, expect to hear negative news out of China soon, whose market plunged by 2.7% last night.

Well, Fly, the guy who writes the Dilbert cartoon says your guy will win.

Donald Trump will win in a landslide. *The mind behind ‘Dilbert’ explains why.

That’s a nice article. BTW, I think another one of Trump’s strength’s is that he has his opponents concentrating on his weaknesses.

They hype up his “intensely disliked” numbers, but those are irrelevant. If you are a car salesman, it doesn’t matter how many people “intensely dislike” the car you are selling, only how many people intensely *like* it, and that is Trump’s strong suit. As he stated. he coudl shoot someone in the middle of the street and his supporters wouldn’t care. Also, peopel forget that even many of those that dislike Trump, disliek the present system (“the Establishment”) even more.

His opponents should instead beat down the image he’s making: He calls himself a Winner, so portary him as a Loser. In debates, Clinton should treat him as a joke, as not a threat – even though he IS a threat. She should treat him condensceddingly, like a child. She has to diminish his *image*, not his *policies.* Bascially, she should treat Trump like he treated his opponents: “Little Mario,” “Lyin Ted,” “Low-energy Bush,” and “Get on the Plane Christie”, etc. She should just laugh at his ideas out loud, even the few that make sense.

If she treats this as a competition where the candidate with the best policies will win, the election is goign to be very close….

I wouldn’t expect that. The 24/7/365 Hillary bashing that Right Wing “news sources” have been doing for decades, is not as successful as they are hoping it is.

That makes some sense, btn. I wonder if Hillary will use that approach.

i voted for obama the first term and that was the last time I voted dem. dem and rep are corrupt. only solution is the blow up the system. liberals are blind to the selfish shit they do cus they define themselves as good even tho they still consume 10X more than they should convinced their good cus they do yoga and eat organic. nothing more dangerous than someone convince they are good.

So what kind of party or political system or candidate do you prefer, roundwego?

I can think of more dangerous things than people convinced they are good. You’ve never been a bit smug or overproud about anything in your life? Not good, but I can think of more dangerous characteristics.

BTW, if the parties are corrupt, then so are the people who elect the corrupt politicians. We have given them all their power. We could find and vote for honest public servant types. But we seldom do.
