Hillary Clinton Apologizes to Coal Country for Wanting to Destroy Them

This made me cheerful this morning. H. Clinton was accosted by a former coal miner, who had just been fired due to his industry being in tatters, post Obama, quizzing Clinton how she could say she was gonna put a lot of coal miners out of business.

Her response was apologetic doublespeak horseshit, straight out of the book 1984.

Bo Copley, a West Virginian who recently lost his job at a coal company, teared up as he told the former secretary of state that he didn’t know how to explain his situation or her comments to his young children. Seated beside his wife, Copley slid over a photo of his kids to Clinton, who was seated a just few feet from him at the community round-table discussion.

He questioned how she could say what she said at a CNN forum in March —“We’re going to put a lot of coal miners and coal companies out of business” — and then “come in here and tell us how you’re going to be our friend.”
He also told her he was representative of the angry crowd who had assembled outside hours before.

Clinton then engaged in a very frank conversation about her comments, apologizing repeatedly and calling her comments a “misstatement.”“Those people out there don’t see you as a friend,” he said, referring to the dozens of protesters within earshot.

“What I said was totally out of context from what I meant because I have been talking about helping coal country for a very long time,” she said. “What I was saying is that the way things are going now, we will continue to lose jobs. That’s what I meant to say.”

Serious question, does anyone believe a thing this woman says? How on earth is she beating the communist in the primaries? Oh, that’s right, she’s facing a communist.

You comment on every one of these articles, traderconfessions.

We get it. You love Hillary and hate Trump. Why do you feel the need to repeat that on every single article?

I don’t love Clinton at all. But do think Trump is awful in every respect. I read opposing opinions daily. Same old shit here very day. Just long for the days when Fly wrote something unique and entertaining. If I want to read Clinton bashing I can go to Newsmax.

If it’s boring why click on the headline, click log in, enter your user name, enter your password, type all of this in, and post a comment?

Advice: if you think politics is boring, skip over the headline.

If Fly existed to not lose readers, he may not have banned as many as he has.. Nice faux implied threat to stop reading his blog, though.

I sorry, I suppose if you repeatedly come into Fly’s website to tell him how to conduct his business, I should join in on your side? You can call it brown nosing if you like, but Jesus, show some respect.

This board has a lot more Trump supporter’s than Hillary supporter’s.

      Three facts:
      1) She wants to get rid of the coal industry becuase of environmental reasons
      2) She doesn’t want people in the coal industry to lose their jobs
      3) 1+2 are mutually exclusive

Her plan for helping former coal workers is like Trump’s plan to lower taxes and balance the budget: theorethically possible, but noy very likely

She doesn’t deserve the honor that comes with being our first female President. Not only is she more of the same, which would makes the event pretty lackluster in the end, but she projectile vomits the garbage like no other. She CLEARLY said one thing then lied to this man’s face.

Rather see Trump in office than her.

“She CLEARLY said one thing then lied to this man’s face.”

She clearly said more than one sentence about coal miners:

So for example, I’m the only candidate which has a policy about how to bring economic opportunity using clean renewable energy as the key into coal country. Because we’re going to put a lot of coal miners and coal companies out of business, right, Tim (ph)?

And we’re going to make it clear that we don’t want to forget those people. Those people labored in those mines for generations, losing their health, often losing their lives to turn on our lights and power our factories.

Now we’ve got to move away from coal and all the other fossil fuels, but I don’t want to move away from the people who did the best they could to produce the energy that we relied on.

Hillary actaully doesn’t lie that much (unlike Trump), but she (like fellow-lawyer Cruz) twists words or speaks in nothingness.

“I don’t want to move away from the people who did the best they could to produce the energy that we relied on…” but I will move away from those people because I see no practical way to help them because of their limited skill level.

Leader of my tribe good, no matter what he or she does/says. Leader of your tribe bad, no matter what he or she does/says. Will make up very rational sounding explanations as to why this is so. Or will make up criticisms that sound very funny, but only to my own tribe.

Uh, no. Not in my case, perhaps to my detriment. I judge issue by issue, case by case. We’re not all despicable.

The psychology and motivations of those who support a women of zero integrity, narcissistic, concerned with absolutely nothing except getting her name in the history books, baffles me. Hillary’s own motivations are unclear, also. Does she feel her sins will be absolved if she becomes the first female president? Does she think she deserves it? That it’s owed to her? Could it be the final payoff, the justification for remaining in a sham marriage to a swinger?

    Context is everything.

FWIW, I don’t believe anything politicians say, and that goes double during election season. I wouldn’t buy a used car from any of them. Is Clinton a bigger liar than Trump, Cruz, Sanders or the other guy? It’s a toss-up.
