Farage is the UK’s version of Trump, minus the $10 billion in net worth. He doesn’t give a shit what you think. He has his beliefs and they are very pro-Britain.
“I think Obama has been the most anti-British President there’s ever been. His Grandfather grew up in the empire, in Kenya, and I suspect he has a bit of a grudge against us for that.”
–Nigel Farage
There is a ton of footage out there, echoing the same stuff. Obama is meddling and should not interfere in British affairs, etc.
Oligarchy.

Of course, Britain doesn’t want someone from the U.S. telling them what to do, especially those who want to do something different than what we think. Neither does the U.S. want Britain telling us what they think we should do, but they do sometimes. No big deal, here really– except for those who take great joy in bashing Obama or in hearing/watching other people bash Obama, then this is joy.
I don’t think Obama has a particular grudge against Britain– although no one could blame him if he did. Living in a colony of an empire was not likely a fun experience for Obama’s grandfather.
If I were in Britain, I might well want to Brexit, although they probably won’t. There are a lot of factors to be considered, and the City of London and other areas of Britain stand to lose a fair amount of money if they do exit. Short-term economic interests seem to rule almost everywhere, and Britain is no exception to that.
Perhaps people who really hate Trump felt a similar kind of joy when Mexican people got angry with Trump and said they’re not paying for his effing wall.
It has been said that everybody needs somebody to love. In the absence of that, perhaps having somebody to hate seems like it will do. Trump bashers, Obama bashers, merrily roll along, happy to have company in the bashing of them.
I don’t hate Trump. My fave candidate is the Bern, who does have some views in common with the Donald..
