Cashin: The Fed Are Moving Walnut Shells Around

It’s a low volume meltdown and Arthur Cashin doesn’t care for the Fed’s renewed interest in disseminating all of that smoke into their hall of limitless mirrors.

Stocks are inexorably lower today, in spite of the nonsense that is the Dow 30 flaunting minor losses.

Oil was just pounded into dust. Long Treasuries are the height of fashion.

With any luck the SPY hits $100 by the end of next week.

No. I would just be a very rich man if SPY went to $100 overnight.

Hey, frog, Bernie Sanders is a one issue candidate and he’s not even correct on THAT issue. Do you have any thoughts on that?

He’s the only non-neocon who wouldn’t get us into an unnecessary war. And he is right that inequality of economic opportunity has gone too far and that trade agreements that screw over Americans should not be agreed to.

Trump won’t lead us into war either. He’s already taking a non-interventionist stance, and not just in the Middle East and North Africa [MENA]. So Trump is at least as good as Bernie there.

Trump is better than Bernie on trade because he’s done it and lived it. Bernie is just some old blowhard with no real experience that spends 12 months out of the year next to a wood burning stove in Vermont. Eating flapjacks.

Both of your concerns say you should vote Trump, not Sanders.

Trump has no experience in government and changes his mind frequently. There’s no telling what he would do. Bernie has quite a lot of experience in government.

        https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernie_Sanders

I know, people have been told to hate government, so they think that an outsider with no experience in government is the best. I disagree.

At the moment, it looks most likely that Hillary will win, and that neither of us will get to find out how our preferred candidate would act if elected.

Also, it looks like the Republican establishment is wanting to have a brokered convention, which would throw a wrench in the works for your guy, if they do it. At least it would cause people to become politically active, as I imagine people would be out in the streets demonstrating against that.

People put too much faith in one individual as a presidential candidate. If the citizens don’t get politically active and demand that politicians do what the citizens want, the politicians will usually do something else.

Obama had no experience in govt either. He was a junior senator for 18 months and prior to that he was just some guy up to no good on Chicago’s south side.

The fact is that most accomplished people could do the job of the president very, very easily. What makes candidates different isn’t there experience, it’s their world view.

Hillary will be dead or in jail before the election. She is under investigation and very sick. This stress has to be literally killing her.

If the republicans don’t run with Trump their party is over. They are dumb, but not dumb enough to risk that.

The only people that put too much faith in one individual as president are the people who bought into Obama’s Hope and Change bullshit. I can still remember those days clearly, all of those people crying, really believing that their wildest dreams were now reality. What a bunch of idiots.

We’ll have to agree to disagree on whether the presidency is an easy job that most accomplished people could do very easily.

IMO, Obama will go down in the history books as a very good president– but not the books written by Right Wingers, which will say what you said here.

As to the next president, time will tell.

Obama had experience. He worked as a civil rights attorney and taught constitutional law at University of Chicago Law School between 1992 and 2004. He served three terms representing the 13th District in the Illinois Senate from 1997 to 2004,

But I know that’s “no experience”, according to Right WIng media.

Although Right Wing media says what a terrible president he was, giving no reason, just as you and others do here, here is what a publication that pays attention to actual fact s says about Obama.

Barack Obama is officially one of the most consequential presidents in American history
