This was one of the better exchanges this morning, as President Trump makes the rounds. A visibly rattled set of very nice and ‘progressive’ women trying to deal with Trump’s alpha-male rhetoric almost drove them insane. You can tell they wanted to jump out from the chair and scratch someone, preferably Trump.
They just couldn’t believe the non PC shit that was flowing out of his mouth. They used to a much more gentler type of man, especially when at work.

These women ask what they think are intelligent questions but they know zero about any of the mentality of these extremists. People are so clueless and like to pretend they are informed. Debates put too much emphasis on foreign affairs while our country crumbles from inside. Family values degrade, education system degrades, transportation infrastructure degrades, water infrastructure degrades. Let’s remember what happened here.
Obama wanted to take out Assad after he “crossed the red line” of using chemical weapons against his own people. But the GOP dominated Congress refused to back him up and made him look weak and like a fool, so he could not take out Assad. As a result, one fifth of the population of Syria fled for their lives and became immigrants, mostly to Europe, with incidents like the one in Brussels as a result.
Then Putin goes in and props up Assad while he keeps creating more and more immigrants and violence. What does the GOP do? Cradles his balls and talks about how Putin is strong and a “real leader”, not a weak one like we have.
See? There’s a slight difference in how the Right Wing and other “news sources” report what is going on.
Unless it’s proven that those responsible for the bombing are immigrants from Syria I don’t get the connection. Belgium has lots of its own blastards (new word).
Maybe they are not. But the overall problem being discussed on the news when this happens is the problem of Europe being flooded with millions of Middle Eastern immigrants, most of them Syrian and leaving because of Assad, within which millions terrorists can easily hide. And the related problem of how the U.S. should handle immigration of people from the Middle East.
That is why I see this as relevant, regardless of whether these particular terrorists are Syrian or not.

You are correct that 1 side is not ALWAYS wrong and 1 side is not ALWAYS right. But fact checkers are clear: Right Wing news sources lie or get it wrong far far more often than other news sources.
This belief that one side is equally as wrong as the other is called false equivalency. It is just not the case.

He gave the rest of the world a huge refugee and terrorist crisis in the process. And yet the Right Wing cradles Putin’s balls, as Fly once said, as if he is giving some great gift to the world rather than giving everyone huge problems.

We already are very vigilant, very careful in the U.S. We have a process that takes a year and a half or more that people have to go through to immigrate here. Essentially Trump is saying that we should be doing what we already are doing– and acting like this is some new thing.
