This is a spectacle. The people from Chicago are a reprehensible lot. Thousands of B. Sanders/ H. Clinton supporters and every day beer guzzling morons, took to the streets in a most violent manner to shut down Trump’s rally.
Trump canceled the event, which was to be attended by 25,000 people due to security concerns.
The vast majority of these people are a barbarous sort, marijuana smoking vagabonds in search of strong alcoholic beverage. As you can see by the video below, a good number of these booze hounds have found said beverages and have subsequently cast aside decorum in favor of wanton depravity.
A revolution is coming. It’s time for America to become great again. Moreover and most importantly, it’s time for a 1,000 mile wall to be constructed at the Mexican border, paid for by the tax payers of Mexico.

The next great President of these disunited States the man Donald Trump. Will be calling into or interviewed by Hannity tonight. That ridiculous mob is a gift. Thank you asshats. You just scared the shit out of every old voter in America. They will now all vote Trump. For law and order. The irony.
I don’t think so. I think this gets spun by the media in a way where it’s Trump’s fault. Moderate voters are going to be treated to endless shots of cars on fire, smoke-filled cities, cops in riot gear, etc., with the implication that — and, likely, explicit statements to the effect of — Trump’s “divisiveness” is what’s causing it, and that if he’s elected, America is in for four years of violent protests, cities being burned down, the whole world isolating and shaming America, and so on.
gapfiller the whole reason people are waking up is the light bulb went on. Trump has told the truth. Of course the media will spin this with lies. The thing is the people are not asleep anymore. The media is now irrelevant man.
I see. So it’s Trumps fault. He should just stfu. After, people can’t help it because they are not personally responsible for their actions and reactions.
Trump on Greta. Telling the truth again. Amazing dude.
Shut the fuck up.
Right on dude. Not original at all tho. lol
Two thoughts:
1. Like it or not, there’s now a playbook for the anti-Trump crowd. If they protest his campaign stops like this, the media will be sympathetic to them and, while it will also harden the resolve of his supporters and others (like me) who are more anti-left than pro-right, it will also turn off moderates. Think about Joe and Molly in Peoria who aren’t really into politics and, while they might like Trump’s stated policies and otherwise vote for the guy, are swayed by constant news coverage implying that his presidency would “tear the country apart,” “isolate America,” and so on. Various anti-Trump groups will start to be interviewed and there will be more coverage of the clowns saying they’re going to move to Canada, etc. All this shit will really intensify once he’s nominated.
2. Consider how hypocritical this is. Maybe it’s just because I live in a liberal area and follow a bunch of millenials on Twitter, but everyone can’t stop talking about how “courageous” these protesters are.
Imagine if a bunch of right-wing protesters showed up and shouted down Hillary consistently at her rallies. They’d be labeled as backward, ignorant rubes and wouldn’t be given the time of day by the media. Eventually, they’d be shut down. Articles would appear in the New York Times about how the protesters “embody the inherent misogyny in American society” and shit like that. We won’t see any of that if protesters, especially of the African-American ilk, keep shutting down Trump’s events.
It’s not right to shut someone’s rally down, if that is what these protesters had planned to do. However, this comes after a lot of violence toward protesters at previous Trump rallies, which has been encouraged by Trump. So he and his supporters are not blameless victims here.
There are numerous videos and accounts of protestors at Trump rallies being punched, thrown to the ground, and otherwise assaulted. There are some at vox.com and Matt Taibbi’s latest article discusses this too.

Of course, anyone can see this through the lens of “My tribe good, your tribe bad. Anything bad said about my tribe must be a lie.”
It’s not a pretty situation. The GOP has for decades been the party of the .01%. But they had to get votes to get power. So they used the standard operating procedure for getting people to vote against their best interests: Cater to people’s baser instincts: rage, hatred, bigotry, unwillingness to compromise. Now the GOP has Donald who is better at getting votes this way than any of their other candidates have ever been. But he is doing it so directly, and even encouraging violence, so much that it embarrasses the establishment GOP.
But it was inevitable that some candidate would go this far. It’s the eventual result of catering to people’s baser instincts for decades. Looking at the rage and hatred on Right Wing TV, web sites, and radio, I am actually surprised that it took this long.
For the love of Jesus Christ the dude that cured lepers and shit. You get fucking brownie points kid or whatever the fuck they gave away in the girl scouts. You win. lol
People who come to the U.S. from other countries are amazed at the Right Wing propaganda that we are immersed in here 24/7/365. And most of the media just go along with it, treating obvious long ago disproved lies as truth. Only small number of fact checkers exist and not many people pay attention to them.
That being the case, the situation that 77% of Trump’s statements that were checked by politifact were found to be mostly or entirely false, isn’t something many people notice or care about at all.

People just continue to say “My tribe good, your tribe bad. Anything bad said about my tribe must be a lie.”
Is Fly a KKK member?
If by KKK you mean democrat founded party of racist white men, the answer is no.
Superb, just to be clear, Fly is correct that many years ago the Democratic party was the party of racism. Now the Republican party definitely contains by far the most racists, as one can clearly see from the news that is not controlled by the Right Wing.
Not all Republicans are racists, of course. Many people are just Republicans because they don’t want to ever have to pay any taxes or show any concern about the problems of the poor.
Americans only know what their own preferred news stations or Internet sites or radio stations tell them. People who have Right Wing “news sources” are less well informed than those who don’t watch any news at all.

Trump has my vote. Super Tuesday, here I come.
Super Tuesday is long over. Typical Trump fan.
Well, Pardon me, the Florida Primary.
But ya know, my vote still holds as much power as yours, Faggot.
LMAO. Snag!
I have a feeling all this anti-Trump sentiment will end up backfiring. The average Joe already thinks the media are toads—no offense frog.
I have no problem with Trump winning the GOP nomination. I think in a general election, he’s toast and the Democrat wins.
Hussein giggling like the effeminate little whatever he is down at southbysouthwest. Civil war. Riots in Chicago. MoveOn.org. Pure bliss.
Re Cruz it’s trumps fault comment- these fucking BLM idiots have been doing this for months in Chicago. Every time I go there they are shutting down streets while antagonizing people. This was a bit more diverse audience due to to move on organizing it. But if Cruz showed up at that liberal shithole school they would have burned it to the ground
Great writing – very Newport.
I can’t wait until Trump insults soccer and you follow up – the freak out on your site will lead to WWIII within four hours.
Indeud.
Am I the only one seeing the sarcasm in this blog entry? Jesus Christ, you fucking people…
The problem is that Trump supporters, like GW Bush, don’t do nuance. So Trump supporters are taking it literally, for sure. And there are serious issues here. The sanity, or lack thereof, of our nation is at stake. So even if one sees Fly’s post as sarcasm, the issues remain, and remain important to be aware of and resolve.
doesn’t do nuance, I meant to type.
I wonder if people ever took Hunter S. Thompson seriously? When he wasn’t firing his .457 Magnum or blowing shit up, I mean.
Senor Fly is a Trump supporter. You are the fag. Wake up son.
You are such a complete douche. For real.
ironchicken looks like another Harley-riding assclown too dumb to wear a helmet.
It is rather unfortunate that humans find violence so entertaining. After all, most of us watch violent TV and movies and/or listen to songs of violence for entertainment constantly. But real life violence is not so entertaining. I hope our country is not going to have an increasing amount of it.
Encouraging extreme anger and rage can certainly push things in a violent direction. Unfortunately, encouraging extreme anger and rage is also a way to get votes. And those using this method may not notice the side effects until it’s too late.
This is a huge positive for Trump. I think everyone who was considering Trump but was still on the fence will be jumping over each other to support Trump after this. If there’s one thing everybody hates, it is being told what you can or can’t do or think or who you should listen to. The more the media follows and plays up the anti trump rhetoric, the more his support will grow. The police were telling him they had it under control and he shouldn’t cancel it, but I guarantee they were thinking of this when they made the decision to cancel it. Very smart move. Now he can go to every conservative and say look at how much they hate me to where they are so afraid they don’t even want to let me talk. They must be terrified of how badly I’m going to beat Hillary.
“If there’s one thing everybody hates, it is being told what you can or can’t do or think or who you should listen to.”
True, people do hate that. And it seems that lately, many Americans are ruled by what they hate, not what they love– by rage, not by focus on constructive goals. Some people don’t need to think a candidate will do anything constructive for the country at all to give him their vote, but just want to vote to express their rage through their vote.
I still think that the general election will bring in more constructive thinking folks and that the Dem nominee will win the general election.
When the folks are angry, constructive thinking is not in the mix. Or, r u referring to ‘constructive’ as code word for progressive?
Not everyone is in a rage. When people are only a bit angry sometimes they can think constructively. When people get into a rage, some of them find it possible to calm down.
There are possible constructive solutions to problems to be found in both conservative and progressive ideas. But people have to find ways to calm down first, before they can sort all that out.
“The problems of the poor people”. Said problems are perpetuated by said people.
Sometimes that is true. Often it is not. Some well off Right Wingers find it convenient if you are well off to believe that every poor person is only poor because they are irresponsible– even hungry or sick children. Others find that belief system to be appalling.
Often it is; sometimes it’s not.
isn’t that what it looks like every night in chicago?
It’s pretty ridiculous you so many comments for this compared to the ECB going bannanas.
The reality television nation.
Of course. Human drama and fucktards on teevee trump stupid central bank policy every time. (No pun intended.)
If we talked about the ECB all day we’d all be in cash and the website would have to shut down.
I don’t know if Fly is trolling but this blog is becoming a joke if he isn’t . Donald Trump is a fucking moron.
What’s wrong with today’s youf? In my day, 1968, we had outstanding demonstrations and riots in Chicago – with huge quantities of marijuana, LSD and tear gas. But a riot with 100 people is hardly worth the name. Clearly it’s time to reinvade Vietnam to reunite this once great land and give our unemployed youf something to do, the lazy bastards! If Trump would only utter the words “domino effect” I’d back him 1000%.
Who gives a rat’s ass. The ass clowns burn their cities down regardless if their teams win or lose some championship. Move on.
This will however play into Trump’s hands. He is a spin master and can think on his feet.
This protest was inspired by political operatives dedicated to the destruction of Trump’s campaign. Trump has made it easy for them with his rhetoric. Political operatives have now realized that Trump could win the nomination as well as the presidency. There will now be an all out effort to stop him. Maintenance of the status quo is the key aim of both political parties and Trump, or Sanders for that matter, could upset the equilibrium. It’s vital for the American electorate to keep voting for the candidates chosen by the parties who are backed by special interest groups, composed of the corporate elite, who support their views and policies. Voting for Trump or Sanders would not be helpful to their interests. I expect their money and influence will overcome this challenge and put in place the candidates they paid for. This is not an endorsement for either candidate, just an observation.
This isn’t a Tom Clancy novel. This is a spontaneous social media crowd…happens all the time. See all those people walking around with an iPhone sewn to their ear? Them.
A vote for Trump is primarily a vote against things and people– against the corporate elite etc. No one knows what they’d be getting if Trump were elected. People just get happy to hate along with him, have him build walls, have him throw Muslims and Mexicans out of the country, have him praise supporters for beating up protesters.
Whereas Sanders has actual proposed policies, rather than walls and hatred and praise for violence. And he has actual government experience.
Hiring Trump to be pres would be like hiring him to do Carson’s brain surgeon job. Would you let him operate on your brain? He’s never done anything in government before. It’s anyone’s guess what he’d do– especially as he lies so much and changes his positions so often. His supporters are so angry at the establishment, and so in love with billionaires that they assume that any billionaire outsider would fix things and be good at it. But there is zero evidence for that belief. Many people have a magical belief in money, in the U.S.— as if it can solve all problems, with no effort or focus involved.
Rather than face the problems that we the people created, whether actively or passively, in having & accepting a system where Big Money rules, and working together to change that, Trump’s supporters want their Big Daddy. They want Big Daddy to wave his magic wand and change everything for them, without their having to pay attention and figure out what’s going on in government and what to do about it. They don’t want to worry their pretty little heads about political problem solving. They’re too busy focusing on celebrities on the TeeVee.
We probably need a Constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United, for starters. Having absolute faith and trust in a Big Daddy, no matter what he says or does, has not worked out very well in the history books.
It’s interesting how Fox News has brainwashed people to think that the media, other than the Right Wing media, are evil. And now many of those same people believe that Fox is evil too– that all media is evil unless it approves of exactly the kind of character Fox and the Right Wing media have been pushing at people for years. The crowd wants a mean “strong” Papa similar to “Papa Bear” Bill O’Reilly– someone who is rude and full of rage and shuts other people down who he doesn’t agree with, rather than treating them as equals with something to contribute.
Now Drumpf, the most convincing billionaire Papa actor ever, is playing Papa Bear to the Right Wing News watchers/listeners/readers. But the Right Wing is trying to tell people “No, don’t follow THAT Papa Bear, follow a Papa Bear that WE picked for you.” But the crowd is still headed in the direction Fox and Breitbart and Clear Channel started sending them years ago, and those “news source” can’t reverse it now, even though they would like to. They’ve lost control.
Fly reign this in. New blog, good Sir.
Whenever Trump says “I guarantee it.”, the exact opposite actually happens.
I’m amazed people believe the guy. Are Americans that stupid?
I don’t think Americans are stupid. But propaganda works. And keeping people poor and ignorant works for plutocrats who want to take advantage of them.
Frankly I love these posts. Lots of comments. Stuff to read. Market is a snoozer. Buy all dips. Hold. See you in 50. But these political posts with the comments.. I love it! Gets your brain out of the QE fog.
Trump v Hilary. That’s gonna be one to watch.
