Bove: Kashkari’s Break Up the Banks Scheme Will Lead America Into Recession

Say what you want about Dick Bove, the man knows his banks. He’s a repository of bank knowledge in both mechanism and historical precedent. During this interview, he made the two little ladies questioning him look like orangutangs, unable to ask a question possessing a modicum of intelligence, stuttering and stammering all the way to the end.

If forced to describe this interview with one word, I’d say ‘swag.’

Bove stunted on Kashkari’s communist manifesto to break up the banks, made the CNBC host sound and look ridiculous, and he even chastised  Jamie Dimon, equating his analogy offered to describe the difference between big banks and small as ‘childish.’

Boss.

    Regarding the CNBC hosts-

1 Are they not hiring hosts for knowledge of the subject matter?
    2. Is CNBC unwilling to pay enough money for smart hosts?
    3. Are very few smart people approaching CNBC to choose from?

I’d guess it’s all of the above.

Viewers are interested in entertainment. Information is not considered important by the entertainment organizations that once used to be news organizations in the distant past.

Low blood sugar Monsieur Fly? Did you eat your sandwiches? Mrs. Fly neglecting you? Kayla and Kelly did just fine in this interview. And I’m not a big fan of television talking heads.

What more should they have spindled out of Bove?

At the least CNBC hosts should act and appear like they could work for their financial industry guests. That is the hosts need to look like they have a business reason to be talking business with the guest, rather than looking like high school girls on a school project.
