Could be. The EU seems like a strange idea to me. How can you put countries together than have so many cultural and economic differences? Countries in good economic shape mixed together with countries near bankruptcy to begin with. Countries expecting to borrow money and spend it and never pay it back, mixed with countries expecting the borrowers to impose harsh austerity on their populations in order to pay back their debts. It seems like these folks are not very compatible with each other, which is why the EU ends up having one crisis after another.
