And to answer your question, pal, no I did not attend the catamite infested StockTwits nerdfest in NYC, despite one of their janitors posting a picture of someone who was supposed to be me on Twitter. I am not that man and if I ever see you in private quarters, I am going to split your person, 2 for 1.
Heading into the final trading days of 2015, with Le Fly rebounding from the heinous losses he endured in 2014, he’s opening up to the public, the reader class, permitting them to ask questions, make requests, etc.
I have an exceedingly busy schedule in the days, weeks and months to come. So take this as your opportune moment to enter into the mind of a person much greater than you.
Plans for 2016?
Yes, I have many.
Do I have picks for 2016?
Several.
Is Le Fly going to win the grande prize and take home the trophy?
Always.
NOTE: Jeff Macke is going to be a special guest in the hallowed halls of Exodus for the month of January, providing exclusive content, and the like.

Fly, what do you generally look for when you identity picks on the short side?
Top down approach, since indiv stock selection can be a minefield. In other words, what is the economy going to do in 2016? I’ll make an assessment and then short stocks according to where the weakness might lie.
In a tightening environment, I’d go after commodity sensitive/leveraged names.
Since the small ones have been beaten to death, I’d go big game hunting for moderate gains on short side, instead of taking swing for homerun.
Did you watch either season of Fargo? Thought this season was great although the final episode was a bit of a letdown as is usual for the best shows.
Saw last season and thought it was fair. Didn’t see this one. Too busy.
This season was better by far
As a man who manages money for others- what is/was your most important rule you abide(d) by to obtain and maintain your clients?
Well, truth be told, I’m not a guru on maintaining relationships, as I’ve fired or disposed over much of my client list over the past 5 years. But when I was really into it, I found keeping lines of communication open at all times to be most important.
Bad day?
Call your client up and show him/her you’re a human. When you connect with a person, they trust you. Without trust, you will never raise big money and maintain their business for long periods of time.
Roughly what would be your max allocation into equities as % of total net worth? I understand it could be vastly different for people depending on income sources, life stages, etc.. but am curious on your thoughts.
I think before allocating assets, you should run a risk analysis on your client and determine, not only what % of assets should go into equities, but where his portfolio BETA target should be too.
It’s important to have a large cash cushion, as a percent of net worth, of at least 20%. After that, theoretically, you can be all equities, depending on how you diversify the systematic risk.
Get it?
Been coming to this site for 7 years..always entertaining! Any writers that influenced you or are you one of a kind?
I love Dumas, Hunter Thomson and Tolstoy. A recent fav of mine is Hemmingway and Sabatini.
I read a lot of classics.
How much sleep do you average during the week? On weekends?
I sleep 3 hrs per day and crash on weekends
What financial product or sales pitch aimed at the general public do you feel is the most deceitful or insidious in a promise of false riches?
I had to seek out this supposed photo of The Fly …. http://pic.twitter.com/06QWo4YCF1

Hahahahaha Le Fly
Martin Shkereli arrested by FBI ..lol little turd
Is Macke a good candidate for Livalo?
You win a potluck bingo game at the local VFW. It’s your lucky day! They ran out of prizes, unfortunately, so instead you walk away with 10 guaranteed minutes of supervised visitation with Shrekli in jail. Talking points?
What’s your portfolio discipline/methodology around averaging down versus exiting a losing position?
P.S. This seems to be one of my greater weaknesses.
