Having kept all of my longer term positions yesterday has enabled me to win, broadly, today. Trading dollars are now catacomb’d in three stocks: SAVE, AGIO and ONCE. The largess of my longer term holdings, positions that I initiated here last year around this time, will not be sold–no matter the market environment.
Markets dropped this morning on fake news of an Iranian flotilla capturing an American cargo ship. Someone must’ve been smoking strong dope before vetting that story. Once it was revealed to be nothing more than child’s play, stocks rebounded, crushing the faces and skulls of those who sold short yesterday.
It’s not easy to trade in a stock pickers market like this, one that rewards pricing and timing, as opposed to gorilla shit luck. Nothing feels better than gorilla shit luck. But we can’t always have our way, right?

You’re not supposed to be doing what you should do, but what you want to do. Do you want to trade stocks for a living and make a gazillion fucking dolores? Well, then, fucking doing and stop bitching about the sale you just blew, the lead you couldn’t close.

Holding it up for something coming I believe. “no” reason to have it stay-literally up (like the controlled reversal today) instead of drifting even the slightest. Amazing that more people don’t see this as fishy. Something’s coming. (and) they want it to be at the top when it happens, and everyone be in, when it happens.
