Politics seems to be such an irresistable topic on boards that are not supposed to be political. I guess because some people identify with their political party so strongly– like their favorite sports team.
But then people don’t seem to have to talk about sports constantly, in situations where the topic was something else, so perhaps there is more to it than that.
