I will be departing soon for Vegas, in order to properly lurk–anonymously–amidst the scads in attendance. In the meantime, I will assign a caretaker to iBankCoin (extra Shining), to look over things while I am away. I am sure I will bang out a blog or two, but in a supporting role no doubt.

The keynote speaker will be The Option Addict aka The Man speaks to the dead for mind-blowing stock tips. After the close, GPRO appointed Zander Laurie to head up their burgeoning media division, the very same division that Citron built their bear thesis around. On a stack of burning bibles and holy korans, one could only hope for a pullback in the shares–heading into the X-mas season.
In summary, Le Fly is up, up and away, oil is dead, and GPRO bears are plain ole vanilla gay.

I’m looking at running over 100′ of 12/3 gauge power cord to operate a 15 amp reciprocating saw … among other power tools … for a project I have !
I am WELL AWARE of potential “voltage drop” issues with long power cords !
I am ALSO aware that 12 gauge is prolly NOT “optimal” for this “scenario” !
BUT, does anyone have ANY personal experience that might provide a “real world” insight to this set-up ???
Can I … “get away with” … 12 gauge power cord at this distance (100′ plus) … or, ANY gauge power cord at this distance ???

I have a 100′ 12 gauge power cord hard wired to a Bosch 15 amp worm drive, no problems.

… how about running from an outdoor GFI plug ?

I use a cheap B&D saw with a 75′ 16 gauge cord plugged into my garage, which is 50′ from the breaker box on 12g wire, and it works great.
