What a crazy tape to be short! Are you short and why? What is your core thesis for betting against stocks? I am not trying to ridicule you. I just want to know the rationale behind such ruinious behavior.
I was gonna keep this new pick a secret until I positioned into it. However, since I am fully deployed and the market looks great, I think it’s only fair to share. The ticker symbol is (drum roll): CRTO. Go look it up and thank me later.
This week was all about housing stocks, a thesis that I’ve been bullish on for two years. Also, my YELP is screaming off the lows and I didn’t get in. I’m missing out in a variety of ways. Have you seen JAZZ lately?
Look, if you’re interested in short squeezes, it doesn’t get better than RBCN. Some very trust worthy people that I know think it heads to $20 and the stock hasn’t run yet. While it’s true, I am talking my book. It’s also true that based upon recent history, you will probably make more money, on a percentage gain basis, than me. Have you seen ONVO lately? Yeah, I knew about and positioned into it under $5.
My problem isn’t lack of success or an inability to find winners. My problem is patience. It’s the difference between an ordinary Wall Street stiff, making pedestrian rich man’s money, and the guy with his own jet.
The struggle continues.

i’m too afraid to run an analysis on all trades had a hold 1 additional day/week/month (excluding forced take offs due to opex)…..the amount of money i’ve left on the table is probably sickening.
On a long enough timeline, all the stocks I once held and sold have traded higher.

Hi I’m relatively new to the stock game and I read your post and O’S. I decided to take a position in SOL yesterday however that stock is still free falling. Is it time to sell it off?

SOL is tradable down to $4.50ish. It’s still moving within a bullish triangle. Forced resolution of the triangle is next thursday, but typical the pattern breaks out early. I bought today at $4.74 because yesterday felt a little early.
Two things.
First, look at the chart of EGLE this week. And then tell me if you think SOL is still in free fall.
Secondly, look up an example of a consolidation on a chart. Then proceed to compare that to SOL’s chart.
He doesn’t know what free fall is.

Nymph’s Bear Thesis. (In short form). 2009 we created a massive Global imbalance between true demand vs actual supply in the commodities spiked by Govt intervention in China. (The Shaghai Copper Bubble).This division of true need vs supply continued to grow with every successive Central Bank action to add liquidity until the global market. Now China sits with records amounts of Materials and a slower economy. QE Yellen isn’t spiking up the commodities like the old days at all, the Aussie has not gone all ape shit like QE’s before. We have a huge massive build up of resources and well, you read the Walmart Conf Call, a slower holiday season coming. Central Banks created this massive bubble and I have to continued to study it until it pops. Which there is only one rule in this game, Bubbles always Pop. FWIW Copper topped in Feb 2011, and many would say it’s a Head and Shoulders pattern on the 5 year chart for Shanghai Copper breaking the neckline and until someone really needs that Shanghai Copper to build something besides Empty Towns, High Speed Rails that breakdown..I don’t see a Stocktwit Boom, just a Bust. 2014 brings along a stronger dollar and massive builds in materials. IMHO we are just one short move away from Dr. Copper pulling the cord on this Cocaine Party we have been on for five years and sending the Global Markets to Rehab. BTW, really really hard to be a Bear, we are rare these days.

Matt, I started in 2007 learning about stocks, I don’t know the moment it will pop. SPX 1755ish was my last Major Fibo Resistance, we are in major overbought territory and only floating in QE air. It appears in 1987 we did that for a time, but really dangerous for someone like me that doesn’t know what causes a bubble to pop to go long.My horrible ultra short ETF’s I use for tracking beyond bite, Gold hasn’t been working as good for the hedge, but I have to continue this study until the end.
