For those of you who are afraid to start yet another world war, I consider you to be cowards. As american cowboys, we love the sting of battle. Nothing pleases us more than to grease the wheels of our SUVs than with the blood, guts and brains of our enemies.
As I sit here, eating green eggs and ham (no Cat in the hat), one thing comes to mind: justice.
We must teach all of the people out there to hate weapons of mass destruction by destroying the very societies they reside in. The world is a safer place with american soldiers occupying cities, on a pan global basis. Anyone who thinks otherwise is simply an enemy or a coward (extra canada) and will be dealt with in due course.
As it pertains to stocks, when we go to war, oil will catch an erection and ejaculate (WNR) on the world, at a very expensive price. There might be a Brent-WTI divergence, leaving opportunity for the refiners again. Large dirty oil conglomerates work well under the auspices of war. And of course, the military apparatus must be funded with the blood, sweat and tears of the people, leading to higher stock prices for GD, ATK and RTN.
Alternative plays to oil, like solar, can burn in hell with all of the care that I can muster! But, I will make an exception for companies who make back up generators, heading into the hurricane season.

Still, when NATO is refusing to budget and one of our longest allies has backed out on us, it sort of speaks volumes. No one wants to get involved with Syria because it’s better for us if the just keep butchering each other.
